Are there "anyone but Banchero" guys on here? Most seem to have a preference but I haven't seen anyone outright say absolutely not to Banchero. Just don't want to deal with another year of a certain contingent ******** on the rookie every chance they get as he adjusts to the NBA.

Who the **** is this? Has to be somebody on here. Green was not affected in any way by this supposed "Mobley Mob" and only a small number of people did not give Green a chance and that affected Green in no way whatsoever. I guarantee you if Mobley was the pick there would have been a hell of a lot more people coming for Mobley than any people who did not give Green a chance. There will always be preferences it has been going on since Brooks vs Lowery was a thing, I have no idea why anybody thinks things will be different if most posters just ignore or don't get bent out of shape when something that can be construed as negative about their guy it would stop a lot of this.
people had a right to be frustrated with how bad Green looked midway through the season. Glad Green proved folks wrong with a strong finish. Most fans support the players.
I also think the criticism of Green had a lot more to do with how much he sucked early on in the season. Had he come out playing anywhere close to how he ended the season people would have been a lot less critical. That said, it is a good reminder to be patient. I was definitely critical of Green early on and he's who I wanted the Rockets to pick. He just looked so awful out there. It's been a long time since we've had a teenager with his kind of expectations. I think I forgot how to even handle those expectations.
I have Banchero behind Murray. I highly doubt Banchero gets selected after Murray. So if the Rockets get Banchero, I will likely be disappointed draft night, but hope that Banchero is more efficient than he was at Duke. I see Banchero as a swing for the fences type of pick similar to Green except even more risky. I won't be like Mobley fans unless 3-4 years down the road Banchero is a clear bust and Murray/Jabari are studs.

What went on around here after Jalen Green was selected was disgraceful and the way he was mocked and put down every step of the way "until he played better" is bullshit. If you didnt pile on and go out of your way to think you were "smarter" for preferring Mobley then good for you! To insinuate that the treatment Rocket "fans" gave Green last year was warranted and that if Mobley would have been the pick he would have received more scorn is more bullshit. Sorry. IF Chet Holmgren is the pick I'll be disappointed, but I wont take part in any of the bullying and suspect fan behavior that Jalen Green was subject to HERE in the Mecca for ROX fans - I can promise that much. I dont for a second think Im more able as a talent evaluator than Rafael Stone.
To be frank, during the whole Green-Mobley saga i put like 15 people on ignore so maybe it's one of those guys.
