It runs a little more than 3 hours so not a huge time commitment. I found the overall story intriguing and the animation well done. There's less delving into the mental health aspects and more exploration of their abilities. But if you didn't enjoy S1 then pass on S2.
Started watching Slow Horses on Apple +. Very British spy thriller but great job by Gary Oldman as an irascible curmudgeon spy chief.
I was actually more invested in the Mexican characters, they had some nuance and did not look like they were right out of Boys in the Hood. Still on the fence about the main guy, he is kind of wooden.
I don't know if this is even the right place to ask... it might be a music or internet thing... But WTF is a snark, and why are there so many of them. I know I can look it up for myself, but I don't really want to know. New kardashians I guess?
Watched The Flight of the Phoenix (1965), directed by Robert Aldrich, on HBO/Max yesterday for probably the 4th time, including seeing the film when it came out in general release at the beginning of 1966. It has a terrific cast... James Stewart, Richard Attenborough, Peter Finch, Ernest Borgnine, Hardy Kruger, and Christian Marquard, among others. There was a remake in 2004, with Dennis Quaid, which was awful. If you saw that, do yourself a favor and see the truly excellent original. An old cargo plane, piloted by Stewart, is taking several oil field workers and supplies from one place to another over the Sahara when they fly into a sand storm. Forced down, with the radio out, a hundred miles off course, running out of water with little hope of surviving, desperation gives them one chance to survive. Create a new aircraft from the wreckage of the old. A famous stunt pilot who had worked in several Hollywood films was killed while making the film. Big news at the time, it was dedicated to him in the ending credits. 8/10
Operation Mincemeat is a new Netflix original film and it's really good. The title may throw some people off (not a cooking show, seriously!), but it's the actual codename for the British intelligence operation during 1943, when World War Two's outcome was still very much in doubt, that was an attempt to convince Nazi intelligence that Greece, not Sicily, was the target of the next major Allied invasion following the difficult one in North Africa. I won't give any details, no "spoilers" for those who aren't familiar with this true story, except to say that it's a first class production and is done by the same outfit who did The King's Speech, which won Colin Firth an Oscar, and that Mr. Firth stars in this one, as well. Matthew Macfadyen as Charles Cholmondeley, Colin Firth as Ewen Montagu and Johnny Flynn as Ian Fleming in a scene from "Operation Mincemeat."

Operation Mincemeat was good, I'd think it'd be especially good to people who don't know much about the story. First 2 episodes of the new Kids In the Hall were ridiculous, in a very good way.

Sprained my shoulder so I’m confined to the couch and caught the rest of Slow Horses. Pretty good with a good blend of tension and humor. A good cast mix and looking forward to next season.
"The Offer" on Paramount. 8/10 because of the subject matter. First new series I started since How I met Your Father. It's based on the making of "The Godfather". Not many people know that The Godfather was based on a book.(fine, another one I didn't know was a book). I kept watching episode after episode and was frustrated that I had to wait another week for the latest one. That's when I went to Rotten Tomatoes thinking everyone was enjoying the hell out of this show. It's at 49% womp womp. Some of the reviews online say the mafia scenes in the show are not believable. But after doing 'my own research', I found out that the character Luca Brasi was played by a former enforcer of the Colombo family. My mind was blown when my very extensive research led me to finding out that the singer that played Johnny Fontane, who was supposed to be based on Frank Sinatra, pulled the same move his character pulled in the film after getting dropped from the movie. Have I mentioned my extensive research? I"Cancel culture" led by Colombo attempted to shut down the film because it was offensive to Italians and the mafia. Mafia's involvement in movies is not far fetched. I think La Eme was having production members of American Me killed, barrio politics ese. So far I've enjoyed Giovanni Ribisi's & Burn Gorman's performances. TLDR; You make like this show, you may hate it.
We Own This City is good. It's a mini series from David Simon (creator of The Wire), based on a book/true story about a corrupt task force in the Baltimore PD. It almost feels like a new season of The Wire (several actors from The Wire are in it).
