Martin is 3" taller, five years younger, more athletic, a better 3pt shooter, and under contract for longer.

I love Tate too, but it's not a mystery why people may prefer giving KJ more run at Tate's expense.

    So
Is he a better shooter? I explained this in my earlier posts in this thread. I also explained that Tate is better in most areas and more skilled including handles, first step, and man defense. Knowing the right plays to make on defense and rebounds etc

Not only that, but he is a better fit with the starters because he doesn’t need to have the ball in his hands and he spreads the floor better. He also provides a lob threat.

That might come in handy if Rockets draft either Banchero, Ivey or Sharpe.

That would mean 4 of 5 starters are ball dominant.

    Tate 20-21 60/195 21-22 63/202 from 3, KMJ in comparison is 30/95 & 60/168.

Based on those totals KMJ made a jump last season season while Tate seems to have plateaued.

Martin JR made 3 less threes on 34 less attempts then Tate which is a 5% difference.

I am not saying Tate shouldn’t be on the team but what is he worth to the team money and minutes wise going forward?

Soooo... I'm still waiting for the Tate trade (December 15th earliest?). I'm back on team KMart.

Still waiting to see if we can be a part of the Durant, Irving, Donovan
    Mitchell 3rd team deal.

Rockets can wait until right before opening night to
let them figure what they want to do.

If nothing, I say the Rockets pull the trigger on a trade for Kenyon
somewhere, soon after the final preseason game.
    Hopefully in the Eastern Conference.
