Brooks Raley is in for Tampa trying to close out the Mariners in the 9th with a 1 run lead.

EDIT: 1-2-3 inning for Raley for his 2nd save of the year...

    Just some misc thoughts...

--3 of the teams that I follow most all have the same record. Astros, Blue Jays and Twins all are 16-11.
Twins play in the worst division in baseball. Blue Jays in best division in AL.

--Was wondering what happened to the Red Sox. Seems mostly a power outage (only 3 guys >.600 OPS)

--Every team in NL west above .500 Really? Maybe good news for those of us wanting to see the Dodgers fail.

--Is Seattle a good team or a bad one? Been both so far.

The MLB is not the NBA. The Yankees will have to do it on the field. In the end, it is pitchers and defense against hitters and who plays the best will prevail, even if the MLB finds a way to interject a few bad calls into the equation.

I think the dead ball that MLB chose to use this year will work against the Yankees who for the past few years have heavily relied on the homerun ball with their strikeout/homerun true outcome lineup.

Ugh. F****** Angels tie it with a 2 run pinch hit home run, 2-2 in the 8th.

Rays take the lead in the 10th on a leadoff 2B by Brujah, scoring the ghostrunner.

Does Korea have a space program I'm not aware of?

(...according to Wikipedia, yes they do. Thanks Wikipedia!)

Kershaw's days as a starting pitcher are numbered. He is having too many problems too frequently to be counted on every fifth day.

"The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Clayton Kershaw on the injured list ahead of his scheduled start Friday with inflammation in his right SI joint, which connects the base of the spine to the hip bones."

    That does not sound good.

Kershaw's ready to retire. Or has he already?
