Sports fan psychology is an interesting thing. For most fans, the fun in being a fan is the emotional investment in a team and/or a player. The emotional investment can be positive (rooting for a team/guy) or negative (hating a team/guy). Watching a game with no emotional attachment either rooting for or against doesn't have the same level of fun. Very few people are a fan of a sport just to "appreciate" the game itself. That's why the playoffs tends to be less interesting if the team you love or the team you hate is out.
Dont believe him or try to have a logical conversation with him. He’s clearly a Harden nut hugger who easily gets offended by the slightest criticism or non believer when it comes to his hero. He is the ultimate Harden Only Fan masquerading as a Rockets fan and uses words like ‘gaslighting’ when he’s the one that’s actually doing exactly that. MFer has the audacity to call me a YOF and Lin Only fan (neither of which I care about mind you) when he in fact joined ClutchFans in 2015 …. You know ….. during the height of Harden’s popularity. Weird.
A little insecure when it comes to Harden’s performances in elimination games are we? I was merely stating his actual stats you… know real life facts and you got triggered to all hell. But you’re a Rockets fan that doesn’t care about a guy that hasn’t been here for 2 years right? Biiieeetch Please.
Yeah he’s quite the special guy. All it takes is reading a few of his posts and you’ll see he also lacks any type of critical thinking, logic and severely lacks reading comprehension. Total waste of time.
So true, Lin is an Ivy league grad, NBA vet with millions in the coffers and Harden will have made over $400 million in earnings between the NBA & endorsements. Not bad at all.
Dafuq does any of that got to do with what Harden does or doesn’t do on the basketball court? Only a Harden fanboi would care about how much money he has…. As if you’re even getting a penny of that.
I think Harden did us a favor by demanding to be traded. Sure, he acted like a dick on the way out but we would be in worse shape had we hung on to the current version of Harden.
Makes sense. Rooting for a player or a team u have some sort of attachment is way more fun to watch sports. I just can't fathom how nonstop btching about a former rocket great does anything to showcase that u r a bigger Rockets fanboi than folks who are more heavily invested in the current rookies. I appreciate the game and the players who played it, but spending the majority of the time btching about a player u claim u hate is just weird.
My bad Ma'am, It just means that maybe Harden can buy your bitter ass that ring he promised you since he didn't win one while he was here. And he's almost done playing (washed) so I'm sorry for your loss. But by all means, carry on with your lame ass Bitter-Ex routine.
It's weird to you because your emotional investment (fandom) isn't as strong as others' on this board, and there's nothing wrong with that. However, it's extremely classless to criticize other people's fandom, especially on a Rockets forum.
I had the exact same thought as you regarding Tinman and those Lin threads, but I realized soon after the first or second one that it wasn't exactly about Lin or in this case Harden. MANY if not most of the posters in those threads were simply there to troll those posters on the opposite side. You see the same thing going on here. When Harden does well, one group calls out the other and when Harden sucks its vice versa. The obsession might be more about trolling the other group than it is about Harden. In the Lin thread it was harder to notice since the "hater, bitter exes" were so much more numerous than the "huggers, only fans"
He like most of the others that are Harden super fans had no problem calling others that dont agree with them stupid, dumb, ignorant...... Imagine criticing people for their investment in something/someone yet having enough investment in the same exact thing to insult people.... Problem is things arent going their way, if they were they wouldnt have this attitude. Its because they are wrong that all of a sudden its weird to show so much investment in the same thing they defended for months.... They want to talk $hit, they just dont want accountability because their feelings are soft and can not handle so many people calling them out....
As a long time Rockets fan of course I want the Rockets to succeed but it was hardddd to watch Harden’s brand of ball. Now living out of Texas I’ve come to appreciate more teams though my loyalties will always remain to Houston. That said… I can’t see any team winning a chip with harden as 1-3 option, maybe third at this point but 1-2 have to be solid. Whether it’s habits, injuries, a combination, the dude can’t reach the next gear for any sustained period of time.
It says in my post. By all means if you want to spend your time doing it. Go for it! Woohoo I said I find it odd (and honestly sad) if someone wants to spend a portion of their life continuously criticizing a man and others on a board that wish him the best, that doesn’t know you exist that has ungodly amounts of money to do something they seemingly love to do. I’m sure there is some profound philosophical argument one could make to make doing that sound fulfilling. I just am not smart enough nor deep enough to know what that is lol
But hating is more contradictory. You want the team you hate to lose. But if they lose, they are no longer relevant and the fun diminishes. I am a certified Lakers hater. During the 6 or 7 years before the bubble season, they were so irrelevant I didn't care anymore. Like this year, I am so happy about their demise. But now I kind of miss rooting against them in the playoffs.
kinda how like warriors fans hate kevin durant for winning finals mvp over stephen curry.. even tho the warriors won the ultimate prize which was the nba championship. Every star player has fans bro
