I've watched a ton of Keegan Murray footage, and over time I noticed he makes a decent amount of deep threes. Decided to seek out some stats to back this up, and sure enough...he shoots an insane 53.4% (31/58) on 25-30 foot jumpers. That would seem to bode well for his shot translating to the NBA line. Some other top prospects from 25-30 feet, for reference:
Looks like a good prospect, he averaged 3.8 for the Ignite so that doesn’t really stand out. Mid or late 2nd rounder? Might be interesting as an undrafted FA summer league invite.
Because he really didn't do anything? Oddly enough, he decided to give up on Gonzaga to go play for the Ignite.
I don't watch international leagues or g-league but I too was wondering about why we weren't hearing about him. Did he have a bad season?
Why was Chet doing Mobley like that? That blowby for the dunk looked cruel and unusual Chet has the 3 point shot Mobley doesn’t have…shoots free throws better…he has the longer wingspan…he’s more skilled and I would’ve loved to add an Evan Mobley to Jalen Green Mobley was supposed to get wrecked in the NBA according to the body experts and shoulder gurus on here
LOLLL Cmon dude you are wound way too tight. I almost hope Chet or Jabari get drafted just so you would get your win and relax a little. Your vendetta vs Banchero notwithstanding its been a fun process for me and I'll continue to try and enjoy it instead of taking myself too seriously and fighting pissing contests with everyone who doesnt agree with me. There is no 'right' pick whether you want to believe it or not. Im eagerly waiting for some new Chet tape. Seems like he's working out in private and well thats cool I guess. Eventually he'll have to come in for some formal workouts and there will be leaks and new data/info to gloss over. Should be interesting to see what he does vs some NBA bodies. Jabari is working out getting bigger and stronger. Paolo lives in the gym those last few vids with Chris Brickley and Mike Miller were FIRE see how he moves?? Even YOU should be able to appreciate a human that big doing what he's doing! Hope Chet is a gym rat too and we get more than efficiency metrics to go by because the game is more than just stats - but you know that already! yeah, yeah, yeah I know "be better"
WHAT!? Cmon man. Victor Wembanyama is who you guys think Chet Holmgren is. Its AOk to have favorites, but "molasses" vs Chet Holmgren? Are you the same guy that said a player like Chet has "never existed" ?? Lets it keep it real my guy.
Going from the worst defense in the NBA to elite in one season? Absolutely not. Going from the worst defense in the NBA to a level or two below average? Very possible. If Green improves on his defense in Year 2, Holmgren is our selection, Porter at least maintains his defensive competency from this past year...the team won't be ass in 22/23.
am i crazy to think Paolo's jumper would improve a lot with some simple cues from a professional shooting coach? to me his shot just needs a few minor adjustments. the right shooting coach could make all the difference.
watching that Mike Miller workout vid again I see his left hand moving way too much upon release, not set at all. It's almost like he's shooting with both hands instead of one. That should be a correctable mistake but after seeing Jalen's shooting motion this year, critiquing it, and then watching him blow up at the end of the year.....as long as the ball is going through the hoop?
A high level 3&D player would help - no doubt. Going from worst in the league to 23rd worst is a step up I guess. Im ok winning games 120-119 while the youngsters develop. When its time to win the right coach will unlock everyone - it wont be Silas.
