It's not Jokic's fault that Murray has not played in the playoffs 2 years straight and that MPJ was out this year. He has done a remarkable job considering what he has to work with. I think it's unfair to compare his MVP campaigns to Westbrook's.
If it is only about stats and regular season Why doesn't Westbrook have back to back MVPs For the back to back triple doubles Rocket River
Watch them have a really healthy year next season and win like 68 games he improves his stats again and wins 3rd. people would freak haha
Ya, how ridiculous is it to have the player who brought the most value to his team win most valuable player. So dumb
Embiid got robbed, but it’s ok…these B2B Spreadsheet awards will be looking real funny years from now
In 2004, The Suns won 29 games with Marbury playing 34 games. In 2005, Nash joined the Suns, and they won 62 games.
I'm not a stat guy, I simply saw a guy carry his team to the playoffs. Eye test. If Joel would of won, I would of felt the same by the way. Only reason I would of given the nod to Joel is because of better record and the fact that he hasn't won the award yet. I'm not mad at the results though.
He led the league in scoring, led the Sixers to a top 4 seed in a more difficult conference, and did it without Ben Simmons.
he won 3 more games then jokic and had far better talent around him.....jokic was on a 15ish win team
So getting Harden probably cost him the MVP Jocic is just the new Dirk Until he wins a championship like Dirk People gonna bring up the 1st round exit. Rocket River
Sixers won 3 more games in a tougher conference. Anyways, you said Embiid had no case whatsoever, and I was giving a few reasons why he was in consideration.
I agree Embiid def had a case and would also be a deserving winner, but what made the eastern conf a better conference? I believe the inter-conference record was only like 2 games or so in favor of the the East for the first time in nearly 2 decades.
Embiid had a historically amazing season but I think Jokic was the right pick. Awesome we witnessed two great centers as the finalist for the MVP Jokic broke the all-time record for PER and BPM
John Travolta ("Pulp Fiction") over Tom Hanks ("Gump"). Embiid over Jokic. Evenly matched, reward the new blood.
