Yes it took the Rockets two first round picks to obtain Sengun at #16..so
a team probably has to pay at least 3 first round picks to acquire our pick
at 1-4 to the draft rights of Banchero.

In essence, I doubt a team pays us two first rounders for Sengun right now.
When you flip a house, you don't want to pay $300,000....put work in it....
and then re-sell it for $200,000. You don't want to buy a car for $10,000....fix it up...
and turn around and sell it for $8,000. It's taking a loss. That's poor investing.

So the unknown of Banchero makes him a more valuable asset than the currently
known asset of Sengun......being imo, that they play the same role. I don't see them
sharing the court at the same time successfully. Even in zone defense neither are
great rim protectors and neither guard the perimeter well enough....and you probably
lose significant PACE. Neither will be high quantity volume 3-point shooters so teams
can run zone successfully vs us or clog the paint in some form or manner.

So flipping Banchero immediately would be in play imo.

I like Kuminga, I've always liked Kuminga, I've always felt he could be an All Star
some day. Fills a need for the Rockets and brings offense with defense with wingspan.

*On a side note: Cam Reddish shoulder injury was a dislocated shoulder in March.
    6-week rehab.

Problem is Reddish gets hurt a lot. Could a platoon of Reddish/Tate/Kenyon help
Reddish stay healthy? Eric Gordon wouldn't play anyway if it were me....so the trade
    out works for me.

Just drafting Best Player Available (without thought) gets you a 7 year rebuild
similar to the 76ers drafting Jahill Okafor, Nerlens Noel, Embiid, Ben Simmons,
R Holmes, and others including bringing in Amir Johnson.

It's just wasteful and unnecessary.....they flipped most of those projects
for less than what they paid and delayed the rebuild. Not to mention players
complain about not getting enough playing time as Nerlens and Okafor did....
we may be seeing the beginning of that with Kenyon Jr.

I think they Rockets can trim 7 years down to 3 if they play it smart.

Not drafting BPA with thought gets you a nearly 2-decade and counting rebuild similar to the Kings.

Last time a team traded up for the number 3 pick, it was the Mavericks, which cost them the number 5 pick and future first round pick, which coincidentally turned into......Cam Redish at number 10. So to aquire the 3rd pick, it cost the 5th and 10th., To trade the third pick for future firsts, I would need at least 3 from an awful team.

Don't confuse drafting poorly with garbage coaches, management, developmental staff.

Bagley III, Buddy Heild, Haliburton, are good players....just a tad misguided
    while with the Kings.

Kings also throw ungodly amount of money at free agents because
nobody wants to go there.....how do good players turn out when there?

I can't say Ariza, Harrison Barnes, R Holmes, Zach Randolph, Vince Carter,
Rondo, George Hill, Dedmon were bad players....Kings just don't know
    what they are doing....and why?

Yeah I have only NFL in my memory storage, Washington using about
4 first round picks for RGIII and Saints using about 4 first round picks
    for Ricky Williams.

NBA doesn't make top 5 draft pick trades very often

This draft is to build around Green.

    Period.

Plus this draft is not as good as last years draft top to bottom, but especially at the top.

Trying to leverage off of the Lakers desperation i was thinking..

    Wood. Tate. Wall.

    For

THT. Russ. 2026 unprotected FRP and 2028 unprotected FRP.

To hold two juicy juicy picks that far out of Lebron and ADs prime would be *chefs kiss*.

I think Wall and Tate for Russ and a FRP is fair and Wood for THT and a FRP is fair too. Hence.. 2 FRPs.

    Thoughts?

I didn't see the Warriors game vs Memphis, accept for the deliberate injury against Ja Morant. I just saw Kuminga's highlights from Game 3. He is oozing with passion and talent. There's no way of acquiring him now , I believe. He was a good fit with Jalen on the Ignite.

I was very high on Kuminga going into the draft and I'm still very high on him.

He's going to be a good one. Can do it all. Kuminga passing shinned the
most when watching Jalen Green highlights with Ignite.

I wish the Rockets could some how obtain him.

All the guys who want trade/sign Ayton (to max no less) need to rethink this.

You’d likely have to do something like shengun plus our first (if we pick 3-4 or something)

I feel like they would love Tate. A mini-version of Draymond

I think Wall comes of the bench next year in search of his next contract, and will be a positive presence on the team.

    Random trade idea:
Gordon, C Wood and Tate to Portland for…
their 2022 1st rounder and Bledsoe

At some point they’ll have to pay him. Will the big three have cleared out their salaries by then?
