This was the first game Adams was able to play due to covid-protocol. I think the Warriors would love if Adams was playing extended minutes. While Adams would def help MEM rebounding, he would make packing the paint against Morant a lot easier as well as be a huge liability against Curry/Poole on the perimeter and on split actions/pin-downs off-ball.
Agree that Adams could be abused, this is why if Grizz want to go far in the future, their GM needs add more depth and versatility.
Yeesh. All it took was a zone defense to make an NBA team not only fall back down to earth, but look like a DIII looking team. Hopefully Memphis learn what a zone defense is before game 4.
Holy sh*T. End this man's positive perception right here. Right guys? ZOMG this guy just did the most heinous irresponsible and unforgiving act a basketball player can ever commit. Or so clutchfans lead me to believe.
They thrive on being disrespected, by playing stupid basketball and exactly the kind the Warriors have fed off during their entire run of dominance? LMAO. Quick JJJ, catch the ball and launch a 3 within 0.2 seconds of catching it. Such disrespect. Much thrive.
I don't get it. You said the Grizzlies thrive on being disrespected. Then you said they haven't played their game the entire playoffs? Funny but I remember the entire Memphis team disrespecting them multiple times. So, being disrespected doesn't cause Memphis to thrive? I stand corrected. Earlier I said you be goofing after a Memphis win. Seems you do it after Ls as well.
Klay, defending the knee grab: "we play the game the right way." Ahahahahahaha. (takes deep breath). hahahahaha. What a wanker.
Chris Jenkins is making the right call on not playing Adams. Grizzlies could of won game 1, and won game 2. They only lost yesterday because Memphis were confused at the zone the Warriors ran and the Warriors shooters were all hot. Not sure what the hell you are watching.
One thing that people don't understand about the grizzlies is first: trip is a pretty soft player, he doesn't rebound at all. He is similar to what Pau was in Memphis, except that Pau actually did rebound, but he was just soft, so while Steven Adams is a liability in the pick and roll on defense: he is a necessary evil to protect Jaren. I think Taylor Jenkins way overreacted to the Minnesota series. No old school coach would ever disrupt their starting lineup like that when they have literally developed chemistry the entire year. Steven Adams is the grizzlies best screener as well and he does everything to get our shooter loose. I also think that while the grizzlies have several nice young players with potential somebody has to step up as at least close to a number two: whether that be bane, williams (who I think has enormous potential as a scorer), Jaren and Dillon (who has regressed from last year, perhaps due to injury problems this year). The grizzlies completely have lost their identity. The grizzlies bench which has been a strength has been completely outplayed: Tyus Jones and the rest. If th grizzlies don't want to start Adams in the future then they have a rebounding problem: the which also affects their ability to fast break.
