Given the location of the ball relative to Payton's head, it would've been impossible to block the shot without hitting Payton's head, especially since Brooks wasn't really airborne. Also, he didn't really get close to the ball.

NBA doing what it can to protect the Golden Girls. If only the rest of the league got the same protection...

Yes, he caused Clarke's fall and then broke Clarke's fall.

Example: I shoot u with intent to hurt, I don't get absolved trying to save you from bleeding out

Apply that to Green and Clarke.
Green caused Clarke's fall with the intention to hurt the man, man literally yank on the jersey causing Clarke to fall. Who cares if he broke Clarke's fall afterwards.

It’s hard to judge intent a lot of the times, but green grabbing and pulling the jersey is not one of those times. There is simply no defense or argument that it was anything except trying to injure someone. Even the warriors fans on here have to admit that

Pretty stupid example. Once the bullet is fired, there's no way to prevent the damage from happening. Unlike Green/Clarke.

Stopping the bleed is attempting to minimize the damage akin to green slowing down the fall of Clarke. U don't get absolved for minimizing damage that's stupid.

If I punch a guy in the face, and I prevent him from falling down I don't get absolve from my intention of punching da dude.

It's a stupid analogy. With Green/Clarke, Green helped prevent any damage from happening.

Stopping the bleeding from a bullet wound may minimize damage, but it doesn't prevent it. That's why it's a stupid analogy.

Sure sure, focus on it being a stupid analogy as a way to ignore that u brushed off Green made a dirty ass play with intention to hurt someone by yanking on the jersey mid air, but it's no biggie b/c he "helped prevent damage in the end".

You're assuming that he intended to hurt someone. I'm assuming he didn't. There's no way to prove it either way. But it was definitely a reckless play. He definitely earned the flagrant 2.

If you didn't want me to focus on the stupid analogy, maybe you shouldn't have repeated it so often?

There just isn’t another reason to grab the jersey and yank him down other then to hurt him. It’s not related to basketball or anything so what other reason could there be?

I suggest you watch the play again. Green was clearly trying to prevent the and-1.

Man, that's not smart. We're having a COVID spike with the new variant right now.* Not trying to get controversial, and not saying he'd even get sick, but if he tests positive, he could miss a couple of games and then it'd be over. (Not that it isn't over anyway, I guess... so the more I think about it, I guess he should just have fun in SF nightclubs, LOL.)

Anyway, I would bet the Worriers are not clubbing in the Bay Area right now. Could easily be wrong.

    * = estimated 1/30 rando people walking around is asymptomatic but contagious as of this writing. No, I'm not quaking in fear or fear-mongering. I'm going out to dinner tonight in fact. But I'm not counted on to carry an NBA team either, LOL.
