Why do you care if she is in an influential position?

Do you think she will be more influential than Maddow?

I can't predict the future. But clearly, someone cares or MSNBC wouldn't pull the trigger.

I care because a free press is specifically mentioned in the 1st amendment and it's important to have quality journalists.

I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish here.

WTF does a Free Press have to do with any of this?

What does a quality journalist have to do with this?

I love Maddow but to call her a journalist is a bit of a stretch, she definitely has an agenda, one that I agree with 75% of the time.

Why so aggressive? I'm not trying to accomplish anything. Just reacting to your statement where you suggested nobody should care about this. I care. If you don't, fine. I care because what happens in the press/media is an important part of a functional democracy. That's all.

Feel free to substitute the word "journalist" with "reporter" or whatever semantics makes you feel better.

You say this as if MSNBC was our only news source available to all Americans.

No, I say this because all news sources should be available to all Americans. As Americans, we need to advocate for a strong eco-system of free press. That's why I care. That's all. Not too complicated.

We do advocate for that, it's called freedom of the press in the 1st amendment. Both sides have news sources and we also have apolitical sources as well. I'm not really seeing the concern here, unless MSNBC was our only access to news sources.

Thankfully I don't have to subject myself to CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, because there are plenty others there that I enjoy listening to more. We have plenty of choices of solid news sources in this country. Definitely zero concern on that end.

Perhaps you should go back and read my first post. You nearly repeated exactly what I said.

I don't have a concern. Not sure why I have to defend myself by saying that I care that Jen Psaki will replace Maddow on MSNBC. Folks just like to argue I guess. It's a pretty uncontroversial take.

What does a free press have to do with any of this?

What do you think happens if, and I mean this, actually happens?

How do you see this impacting a functional democracy?

I mean really, WTF are you going on about?
