Never seen Yordan get bamboozled like that. I ain't mad, bigger papi. I wanted the walk off homer too. Something is amuck with the baseballs.
I don't care what his numbers were last year. I've been saying it's an absolute joke that he is the "closer" for this ****ing team. His blown saves are breath-taking. Tatis last year. They are so ****ing bad. Edit: Thank you Kyle Tucker (Wow Yordan)
It happened so fast I was thinking the same and they quickly showed the outfielders and player over ran the ball? I guess at that point he realized it was over but it looked like he froze for a second before going after the ball. Wierd sequence of events .
At this point I'll give Yordan the benefit of the doubt...just as long as he remembers to never ever do that again...
How the f*** was that not a double by Yordan? He lolligagged on the bases He learned from Altuve, Tucker and other teammates
He had TWO blown saves all of last season. You do remember that Jones dropped a foul pop up before Tatis hit the HR, don't you?
He only had 2 blown saves last year I believe. And was the Tatis blown save the one where Taylor Jones misplaced a pop up in foil territory moments earlier? I think it would have ended the game or it gave Tatis another life. With that said, I'll give him another few games. He's coming off an injury so I'll give him a pass for tonight. Not sure if Dusty will do it but if Pressly is shaky(whether he gets a save or not) maybe start to have a closer by committee. If he thinks Pressly should go in the 9th go with him, if he feels Pressly should go 8th, and Neris(or Stanek, or whoever he sees fit), 9th, do that.
