and you do? how ironic, a random posting on cf's acting like knows what brooks intent was. stop crying
No, there was no collision of bodies. Brooks was running full speed and used his arm to hit an airborne, defenseless player in the head. Yes, if the options are to hit a player in the head or stop, the player is supposed to stop.
the solution is you don't foul someone like that like a moron. there's ways to be physical without being a dumbass. it's pretty simple
I'm not just talking about that particular play. I'm talking about all plays that happen when people are going up in the air. Are you supposed to just get out of their damn way?? If you're in the lane and somebody goes up in the air and you crash to into them defending the basket and they hurt themselves. Basketball is a contact sport and people are going to get hurt regardless. Also, I don't frankly see the difference between what Draymond did to Brandon Clark. Or what Draymond has done countless other times when he kicks somebody in the nuts, the the intent there was to hurt the player. To make him less effective. Or the countless times that the Timberwolves knock Ja Morant to the ground which clearly hurt Ja morant but he's playing through it. The fact of the matter is is that Steve Kerr got the entire internet talking about how Dillon Brooks was being dirty cuz he knew that the social media was going to force NBA's hand.
It's your opinion that Dillon Brooks is a moron. Obviously you don't like Dillion and you think he's a moron for playing hard.
no its a fact he's a moron for that play. that's not playing hard. it was being dirty and ignorant. at first i really couldn't care less but since you're so invested in it and was so sure of yourself on the other end, I love it even more actually
Dude, I don't blame you for seeing things through your homer glasses. Brooks's intent MIGHT be the ball. BUT, he cocked his arm and hit HARD when the guy is in the air. He may or may not have aimed at the head. But it's a dangerous play and resulted in a serious injury. As a side note. I think sometimes players use excessive force in shot blocking merely for optical effect. It looks more spectacular. But a snub block is actually more useful than a big swatting block because it has a better chance of getting to the ball and getting the defensive rebound rather than hitting the ball out of bound with the offensive retaining possession.
Yes. Basketball is a contact sport. That doesn't give a player the right to clothesline another player. There are legal forms of contact and varying degrees of illegal contact. Brooks deserved the suspension. Neither Clarke nor Draymond Green were running at full speed during his swipe. You don't understand how that matters? Plus, Green was actually making a play on the ball, and even though he pulled Clarke's jersey downward (which threw off Clarke's balance and caused him to fall), he also pulled the jersey upwards which mitigated the damage from the fall. I'd reckon most people were surprised at the flagrant 2 call. Even the announcers were surprised.
Draymond Green did the same damn thing to Brandon Clark, and actually broke his jumping motion by pulling him down. Then he goes to the bench and high fives everybody, but because Brandon Clark is not a in the hospital or something then Draymond Green doesn't get suspended right?
Draymond Green broke Brandon Clark's motion going up in a violent manner by pulling him down while he was going up. If you don't think that that can hurt a player, I'd like to submit Rudy gay basically losing his entire career by that exact play. He was never the same after that happened to him with the shoulder injury that he never recovered from. But I guess you don't remember anything about the grizzlies cuz you don't watch them like I do. But yeah on that same play that Draymond Green did the brand in Clark basically ended an entire season for Rudy gay and then for the rest of his career he was never the same.
I wish I could find the video of this but it was Rudy gay being filed by Evan Turner in the 2011 season.
Why does it seem like whenever the warriors can’t beat you with a talent advantage. The next step they do is run to the league office about how much they are being wronged. If they were up 2-0 they would not be whining like this. They cried to the league about harden drawing fouls and saying he was traveling. And got away with stepping in hardens landing area whenever they played us
In my opinion, it wasn't violent. There really wasn't much momentum (certainly not compared to Payton), and Green broke Clarke's fall. If you're referring to the Gay's injury against Philly, you're misremembering the cause of the injury.
Evan Turner pulled Rudy gay down basically by the shoulder and caused the injury. I'm not misremembering it.
