Wiggins is the same player he was with the Wolves..... we see the media talk about the brilliance of the Warriors player development and how their coaching is wonderful and their front office is magic. The reality is the Warriors have been great because they have had KD, Curry, Green, Klay and Iggy..... I remember all the talking heads claiming that Wiseman was being "coached up" and he is no further along than he was at 17. He is an absolute bust and there is little discussion of it. Payton is the same player he was on the Rockets, and Wiggins is still soft. It isn't that the Warriors are bad at coaching or player development, they are not - they just aren't magic. At the end of the day, it comes down to fit and the mental make up of the players. Wiseman and Wiggins are mentally weak. Payton is tough but not talented offensively and Jordan Poole busts his ass and is a perfect fit where they can hide him defensively. I hope Curry and Poole at least give Draymond and Klay good Christmas presents for covering them up on the defensive end.
"Arguably" the best overall shooter in NBA history? Arguably? Is your bias so strong that you can't acknowledge a statement of fact? Also, didn't Curry do a good job of stopping Morant at the end of game 1? Do you think it's wise to define a player's legacy on a game-by-game basis?
I chuckled at the arguably as well. He is the best shooter ever, and it's not even close. This coming from from a guy that's not a fan boy. But, Steph HAS been a terrible defender his whole career. It's rarely been brought up because they usually win the series when all their key guys are healthy. Also, their team defense has been able to hide him.
Agreed with this, especially if you consider that most of GSW's consistent starting lineups have all featured 4 teammates that are slightly above average (or better) defenders at their positions. Thompson, Green, Durant, Bogut, Iggy, Livingston, Looney, etc. Curry doesn't usually have defensively inept players that are as bad as he is, who also start alongside him.

Did you seriously cherry-pick Harden's best game of the postseason and compare it to Klay Thompson's worst game of the postseason? Be better than that.
Just the last games they have played. No need to cherry pick. Look it up yourself, be better than that.
You are right. I corrected it. If anything, you solidified my point. Thank you for that. SG 35mins 5-13fg 2-7 3pt 4-4ft 9reb 5assist 0stl 0blk 5TO 16pts 5/2/2022 SG 41mins 5-19fg 2-12 3pt 0-0ft 2reb 3assist 3stl 0blk 1TO 12pts 5/3/2022
I solidified your point? How? Are you aware that the title of this thread is "Holy crap Klay needs to hang it up"?
Nothing was cherry picked. If you look at the stats, one player is nut hugged. The other player people are complaining he needs to retire. Both stats from the most recent games are displayed. I can't really spoon feed it to you anymore than that, bro. Be better than that.
Nah Harden is good..... Something something something Doc Rivers and oh Embiid.... Don't forget the refs! or the injuries.... Harden is excluded from criticism because of all these things...
One player is nut-hugged? How do you reconcile that with the title of this thread? Also, nothing was cherry-picked because you admitted to making a mistake in your original sample.
Klay has always been very inconsistent in the playoffs, it just hasn't been noticed that much due to him being the thrid or sometimes even fourth most important player on the team. His offensive game is almost exclusively long jumpshots with very little free throws and layups, so the variance will always be high despite his great touch. More concerning (if expected after such a long layoff) is Klay's defense. He went from a good/elite perimeter defender to average/below average defender. His quickness as well as his footwork is clearly not where they use to be 2+ years ago. Perhaps he will regain some of his defensive skills next season with more training, recovery, but right now he's going to get toasted by Ja Morant and other scorers.
Do you think Wiseman’s career can be salvaged? Always seemed like a nice kid, shame how his Warriors stint has turned out so far.
