The bill hadn't made it to the full Senate. Once it did, the next year, he voted against it and has been pro-choice ever since. Now he flipped-flopped on government funding, but he has been pretty consistent on the right to abortion itself.

in my three going on four decades of working in academia, I've both encountered and worked with plenty of pompous hypocrites, so you're right. Our experiences differ.

The irony in that is he probably wouldn't feel that way if he had to carry a child he couldn't afford, and had no healthcare. In fact, if he was the one being raped and ending up pregnant or had gotten pregnant while cheating on all his wives I bet he would have been fiddling a different tune other than "It's a man's world."

Fire Stations and hospitals are going to be like a Petco on the weekends.

"Hey honey want to go adopt a kid?"

"Nah. Let's wait until next weekend. They are having a 'no adoption fee' event then.

The safe haven laws are about to be really put to use.

Yes, I'm aware of the constitutional amendment election.

The Court is not the only savior (or destroyer) in our system but it looks that way because we barely have a representative government. Yes, part of that is on the people but a significant part is on the system, including the Court. This might be one of those rare occurrences with such a backlash that it pushes through the flawed system. I'm doubtful, but we'll see.

Will Chamberlain figured out which clerk leaked the opinion. One of Breyer's.

Good for him. This is an important issue to some people. My wife has already donated $1,500 to NARAL in the last 24 hours and more will be donated.

He figured out who leaked it? He says he thinks she did… no evidence she did.

If she did leak it, good for her.

If he did, it would most likely be his own.

Not saying that's why he's no longer with us though, to my knowledge, though i haven't seen Abe Gorsuch' laptop. Nobody has.

It is her choice - not mine, not the governments - hers.

Just to be clear, once the child's head is out and the child is breathing - no longer her choice?

Are we comparing vaccinations to mandatory gestating for 9 months?

    How dumb are you dude?

Actually, @larsv8 started making that comparison.

I just quoted a tweet that also made it, but with a different conclusion.
