I’ve never seen my buddy cry until his baby sister announced her pregnancy, and then the other day when she called him crying about this incident. We’ve known each other since we were 2.

There's nothing absurd about a pharmacist communicating with the patient's primary care physician.

When a doctor sends in a script and they refuse to fill it? Embarrassing a girl in a terrible situation? Yep, completely normal.

Scripts get called in for verification all the time. I'm sure it was protocol but the situation probably made your friend extra sensitive.

And that somehow makes it right to you?

You asked for an example and now you are trying to xplain it away because of the context of infidelity?

So you agree that abortion is ok in some circumstances?

I just asked for where in the Bible does it say abortion is ok, and that passage doesn't do that. That's not even an abortion, that was the story of a "curse" that would end the baby based on truth vs lies.

Same **** different toilet. Numbers is the Bible.
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

    Gen 2:7”

    Islam sets it earlier.

    Volume 4, Book 54, Number 430:

    Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mus'ud:

Allah's Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him.”

Constitution says until viability, at least until Alito and the Federal Society Conservatives use Sir Matthew Hale to overturn it.

the same Sir Matthew Hale who says a husband cannot rape his lawful wife.

Christ wasn't born from dust, he came from his Mother's womb. Jesus also leaped in Mary's womb when she visited John the Baptists mother.

Well, Sharia Law is no easy thing to be summarized in one sentence and differs in different Muslim countries, probably a lot more complex than your views on abortion.

Both are complex in different ways.

And Christ is not a man. At least not in the theological sense. He literally died to free mankind of the Jewish law in Christianity but it did not remove the Bible.

Then again no one should be using the Bible Quran Torah Vedas etc as a strict framework for governance anymore than we should not be living under Hammurabi's code or whatever law existed in Europe prior to the Romans.

I think @edwardc point is how is this different from Sharia law in that it is forcing someone to acknowledge the religious rules of others?

Maybe it is unfair to compare to a country that uses Sharia law in its legal systems but the concerns of many, including myself, is this is just one step towards more rules that will be forced upon others. In Alito's decision, he also mentioned Obergfell and the cases protecting contraceptives.

As of right now I have close to 0 confidence that if conservatives could do so, they will absolutely go after Obergfell next and gay marriage next. Several have already said they think that should return to the states which again, would be forcing others to respect the religious rules of Christians.

No need to state your views, you made your view of governments role in health very clear in the Covid / Desantis threads.

As you said, the government has no right to force the individuals to do things in order to protect others. That would be authoritarian and CCP like.

As much as I disagree with your position in those other threads, I admire your consistency on this issue in recognizing how barbaric this ruling is.

Just FYI Catholics (who make up a significant percentage of Christians) don’t just look to the bible alone but to the teachings of the church. The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly sets out that Abortion is considered a great wrong.

So, even if the Bible doesn’t spell it out, the church does.

If you are talking about "The Leaks!!" today instead of the actual topic and especially if you are actively hunting down and doxing someone because you are mad at said "leaker".... guess what...???... You are openly supporting the issue at hand because you are actively working to deflect from it just as Mitch McConnell will do, and FoxNews will do tonight to try and propagate deflection because they know what they just did is politically toxic.

So yeah, don't act like we can't see how you feel about a topic by following the GOP propaganda line here.
