As a father of an infant this only gives me more resolve to settle affairs in this country and prepare for an eventual exit from Texas. I feel a civil war brewing and I don't wanna be anywhere near this powder keg.

A few more food for thoughts:

Should citizenship be granted upon conception?

Should women who drink or smoke cigarettes while pregnant be charged with battery?

Should the woman be mandated to notify the government as soon as she knows that she's pregnant and all miscarriages be investigated for possible murder/manslaughter?

I'm not against you, but "going backward and where the dangers lie" - is that for you to decide? Rights are always changing and not always in one direction. The same court that expanded arrest rights of the accused (like Miranda rights) also decided that police are okay with stopping frisking people, lowering the bar from probable cause to reasonable suspicion. In our system of unenumerated rights, if you believe in that, and that judges get a say in that process, then judges have always inserted their legal philosophy into interpreting what those rights should be.

In this instance, you may believe that we're going backwards, but other believe it's moving forwards. What may be moral one is immoral the next. From a legal perspective, if something is constitutionally gray (and this happens with interpretation of enumerated rights too), then instead of having judges decide how that right should be protected, shouldn't it be left to the people via the democratic political process? Would that be a better solution? If 60% of America ends up voting for Congressmen and Legislatures that want to pass abortion rights protections, shouldn't that set the parameters of such rights? And vice versa if most say that the unborn should have rights and women who get pregnant have to carry to term in most circumstances, isn't that democracy at work?

Who should be the decider of these complicated constitutional gray area rights?

Step 1) Win the mid terms.
Step 2) Impeaching 2 or 3 Justices for lying to congress.
    Step 3) Appoint new Justices

You're right but in that scenario they wouldn't have to.
