It amazes me that you typed all that out and missed a gigantic point. There’s a reason there’s a woman’s league and a mens league, it has nothing to do with faux outrage men have the physical attributes and females that don’t take supplemental testosterone don’t. There’s nothing sexist about it. You’re also missing that these aren’t any soldiers…they’re 7ft tall Spartans
Altered Soliders. 400 years from now, do you know medical science CAN and WILL do? It is science FICTION. Get over it.
This is the most unbelievable part of the show. Making females super soldiers would put the world at risk a couple of days every month.
Have you played the game? Sci-fi is not a cop out excuse for anything. “MC gives birth to a covenant baby” “it’s sci-fi bro!!”
In fairness, Japanese Anime has genres with nothing but girls wielding oversized weapons who pose as "genetically altered" soldiers in skimpy clothes uniforms. That argument goes both ways...
It is a different timeline than the games for one. They are not following the game cannon. ****ing fanboys need to understand that. WTF are u talking about? MC is not giving birth to anything. The game has Female Spartans.
But isn't Halo a game about super soldiers who were enhanced and wear exoskeletons with regenerate force fields?
It's interesting that you have such strong feelings about this. How did they go out of their way? Is it the women that make you feel some kind of way, or the actresses they have in the parts?
I am currently watching it with Amazon Prime. Thanks for this I have never played Halo so don't know much about the mythos, I had no idea the artifact was actually Halo, that kind of makes it more interesting, really not digging Cortana and wondered how that impacted the actual mythos. I have watched 3 episodes and it seems a little slow trying to build in the backstory and the girl seems like filler is she important in the game? Also how does the Bokeem character fit? I need to do a little research on Cortana.
Ok they seem to be very superfluous, I don't even know why they think they are needed. Is the scientist character a big part of the game?
Caught up over the weekend and the two girls in the series are big drags. I'm guessing they both eventually save the day at some point in time (even female villains are more redeeming than male authority figures lol lol lol). I like the doctor role and open for expanding the daughter into being more like her instead of staying the naive idealist. Female Spartan ok... Kinda reminds me of that knight in GoT. Story wise, not a fan of all these coincidences and brain fart inconsistencies but low expectations mellowed that out. Not a show I'm watching week by week.
