Can’t ignore the fact that he grew 3 inches and gained 50 pounds. He had a lot of upside from day 1, but NOBODY predicted that. Imagine Sengun growing 3 inches and gaining another level of athleticism along with it. Jalen Green grows 3 inches and gains 50 pounds he’s the MVP in 2 years.
you can absolutely release your plant foot , if the ball leaves your hand before the foot touches ground again
The difference with that is she almost jumped off of both feet and released the ball (much like you would on a jump shot). Her pivot foot barely left when she went for the basket and shot. Giannis stepped forward like he was driving to the basket, left his pivot foot completely and was almost at the rim when he threw it off the back board. I know this is the NBA and traveling is questionable, but that was a travel. Good finish though so I'll allow it
you cant ignore the fact that humans are basically ignorant and unable to predict future well ...thats the main problem with toppicks maniacs...they too dumb to think... alpi could dominate nba as is... no need to grow more or even develop the 3 point shot...the way cp3 dominates... also nobody predicted picks no 7 11 and 35 will be the greatest dynasty of all times without growing additional inches TAKE THAT FOR DATA
“d. If a player, with the ball in his possession, raises his pivot foot off the floor, he must pass or shoot before his pivot foot returns to the floor. If he drops the ball while in the air, he may not be the first to touch the ball” *And also for the pass afterwards: “f. A player who attempts a field goal may not be the first to touch the ball if it fails to touch the backboard, basket ring or another player.” It doesn't matter if Giannis jumps off two feet or one (just like how a step back jumper isn't a travel) nor does it matter that he "left his pivot foot completely" as long as he shot or pass before landing. If you look at the replay, the only possible violation was - Giannis could have been called for traveling for the slight sliding of his pivot foot prior to the step through. I love this move because Jordan and Kobe were the only two I can recall that used it regularly from the mid to high post.
youre ignorant of the rules...you dont have to jump of 2 feet simultaneously and you can absolutely lift your plant foot as long as you release the ball before the foot touches the ground again
-technically, this rule states that you can leave your pivot foot, land on your other foot and still hold the ball as long as your original pivot foot doesn't touch the ground. The original rule of traveling is: once you establish a pivot foot you are not allowed to raise the foot off the ground unless you are going for a shot or a pass (in the spirit of the rule you're not supposed to take a step forward with your other foot first to do so). But so be it
Celtics defense was fine this game (especially the 2nd half), holding the Bucks to 50% TS. Their offense however...
forget the rulebook, youre not watching and not playing(what a shame!) basketball if this is the first time you saw this move...lolololol
