This draft is franchise altering… it’s going to shape the direction of this franchise for a generation

This draft is the beginning of Texans competing for lombardis a few years from now.

Do you agree that this draft is generational for us?

Without any of these players playing a down in an NFL game, it’s hard to call this draft “generational.”

You don’t think Caserio layed out a foundation for a generation of competitive football?

I see us competing for rings after another draft or two like this

I wish people would stop sucking Caserio off when he hasn't proven a damn thing yet

The only direction this team is going to is the one that points to the toilet.

Hard to say. Feel like we mailed it in midway through the fourth.

In a Texans sense, it is a generational altering improvement if the generation is measured in 3 yr intervals ... Cause that last generation was downright depressing

Bump this thread up in 3 years and we can revisit to see if it was generational or not.

Rounds 1-4 were great, 5 and 6 were depth/camp guys who are essentially lottery tickets. Remains to be seen but on paper it looks good. Hopefully it looks good on the field in pads

Damn good draft. Can see it being better than the 2006 draft.
Legitimately have a chance for the first 5-6 to be day one starters

Last year Caserio had a good draft too. Finally a GM who knows what the hell he is doing.

Agreed, that’s why I’m optimistic moving forward. He was able to get some solid players without top 2 rounds.

Now he has some high end talent. I’m cautiously optimistic for a quick turnaround

    Ridiculous comment.

None of these guys have played a single down and I highly doubt anyone here actually knew who any of these guys were last week.

They drafted a lot of starters. But this team is made up of dog ****. Having guys in their early 20s who have never played is better than having guys nearing 30 who have never played. So they improved in that regard.

    You’re literally insane.

Texans just got a huge injection of top TALENT into the team

    Are you always this negative?

The top 6 picks, most college football fans knew who they were.

They, along with Mills, Lopez, Greenard, Cooks, Nico, Jordan and a couple others is a nice collection of young talent.

At one time we had like 12 picks, including two first rounders. Hard to screw that up.

I’m not going to get too excited until I see what these guys can do as NFL professionals.

If Mills becomes a superstar then I think it will be easy to build a contending team around him soon.

If Mills doesn’t become a superstar then we will have to upgrade QB in draft
