That would be 3 bigs (traditional rim protectors' weakness) that are average to below average in switch D????

And neither Banchero or Sengun are great weakside blockers due to lack of elite length and explosiveness.

That rim protector would be destroyed on the court and in the media. By posters on CF for sure.

I'd be one happy camper if we got Chet. He intrigues me the most. Bring back the days of old when we dominated the rim.

We would need Jabari for the legacy of bigs to continue....

I'd be happy with either guy.

Can't argue with your analysis of Sengun, although I will say he is still very young and can improve on the turnovers and shooting. I've been thinking for awhile he could be a centerpiece in a trade for a disgruntled all star. I'm a fan, I just think of Sengun as a 4th or 5th option on a contender.

It would be dumb to trade Sengun. Only Green has a higher upside than Sengun.

Fair enough, I still think they should draft Banchero if he's rated best available when we pick. Sengun can be traded or be his backup.

That depends on the return. You have to give up good players to get better players, or equally good players that fit better.

He’s one of the youngest players in the league. A consistent jump shot and reshaping body away from being a potential star. You don’t give up that for anything other than a star. And there aren’t many out there

I want to retain him and add another defensive center.

Chet's the best player. Jabari might be the better choice.

He's got a ton of potential no doubt. Eventually we have to trade a handful of young players/picks for an established star if we want to become relevant. Young players just don't win without vets. I'm comfortable with Sengun being used for such a trade.

In my mind him and Green are untouchable. Anyone else can go

Chet may be best player AND better choice.

Especially paired with Green and Sengun.

But Jabari is 1B for me.

You might be right. I hope they're working on their short comings.

I'm blaming that stuff on coaching .... they have to figure out how to protect their big man from being involved in those switches.

I kinda see him as the "first big off the bench type" ....

And I absolutely expect him to improve his shooting as well as reducing the turnovers. He's so young, there's lots of room for him to grow as a player.

What I don't expect is that he's ever anything more than a poor defender, particularly as a rim protector. He lacks the physical tools.

I wouldn't be opposed to packaging him for a disgruntled all star either.
