Sucks we need LB talent in the worst way. Would like to cash in some later picks to move back up for some of the falling guys.
From ESPN: Green likely slots inside at guard to fortify the team's offensive line. No. 15 overall was much earlier than predicted for Green, though. -- Jordan Reid
I like Ojabo although he's recovering from injury. I really want either him, Arnold Ebiketie, Boye Mafe or Travis Jones in the 2nd.
Many people in this thread were saying it was a bad pick, I even responded to one of them. Here is Walterfootball's take on the pick... Houston Texans: Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M - D Grade At least the Texans moved back. This is pretty bad though. Kenyon Green is a guard who should have gone in the 24-40 range, so this is a reach. I wonder if the Texans don't already regret not picking a tackle at three and then a cornerback like Trent McDuffie at No. 18. As usual, the Texans have no idea what they are doing.
Walterfootball summed up his pick with "as per usual, the Texans don't appear to know what they're doing."
He better be Matthews or Munchak or Steinkhuhler good. Or at least better than everyone drafted behind him.
To be fair his analysis is as good as anyone else's here since he's just some dude and you can scroll back and see plenty of people were saying we could have gotten him later.
the pick filled a need, we have two decent tackles and our guards sucked so he plugs one of those holes hopefully. Nick must not have received anymore options to trade back so they took a need
By most mocks and scouting sites; all the guards were later. As we saw, the actual scouting departments of the teams didn’t think so
