Eleven of the Astros 14 runs this series were driven in by Tucker (9) and Alvarez (2) Keep getting wins but do better offense JV is defying odds getting TJ surgery at old age and being a power pitcher (oldest ever by any pitcher) King Tuck gets his first career PH HR --- 103.6 mph / 370' and a good amount of cheers in Dallas
Literally came here to say the same thing… Dusty logic is Dusty logic. He will get positive reinforcement from this decision… time to put Siri and Goodrum back in the top of the lineup.
I had a weird feeling about this game with that Martin Perez mother****er. Thrilled that Tuck came through with the hammer.
I thought he had one last year, but you're right. He's 4-12 as a PH now...2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 5 RBI That's, that's pretty good.
Between JV, Gausman, and Rodon, looks like there was a lot of good value to be had in the SP FA market last off-season. All three have been unhittable so far.
Seeing Verlander pitch like this in an Astros uniform still feels special. Like the Roger Clemens seasons and that one summer of Randy Johnson.
A split or worse would have been sad. Instead, we took the series and I am glad. We didnt look good. But we avoided looking stupid. Perhaps we are back on track now. Holy Cow!
If they’re healthy, their stuff is great… correct? The ability to maintain health and maintain stamina throughout the entire season will always be a question mark for any pitcher… let alone pitchers coming off of surgery or those who are older.
