    I like any combination of:

Chet: Keegan Murray, Mathurin, Tari Eason, Mark Williams, Kessler, Liddell
( Depending on who we get, Tate & Wood become expendable )

Banchero: Keegan Murray, Mathurin, Tari Eason, Mark Williams, Kessler, Liddell
( Depending on who we get, Tate, Wood, & Sengun become expendable )

Jabari: Keegan Murray, Mathurin, Tari Eason, Mark Williams, Kessler, Liddell
( Depending on who we get, Tate & Wood become expendable )

Ivey: Keegan Murray, Tari Eason, Mark Williams, Kessler, Liddell
( move Porter to SF )

Keegan Murray: Tari Eason, Mark Williams, Kessler, Liddell
( Depending on who we get, Tate & Wood become expendable )

Mathurin: Tari Eason, Mark Williams, Kessler, Liddell
( Depending on who we get, Tate & Wood become expendable...
    move Porter to SF )

    Then we get 35 wins....maybe more @peleincubus

    Why doesn't he have upside?

He is only 19 years old.

    Interesting.

I think Chet was just more passive than anything to do with skill or intelligence.

That gives me pause, but it's something that can change.

He’d slide right into that Christian Wood role defensively. Loves to watch his man blow right by him like a true Rocket

Let me go on record as thinking the rockets do not draft at 17. I’m betting one of 3 things happens. They use the pick to move up higher than 4 or 5. Move up higher than 17 into the top 11-12. Move the pick to 2023 or 2024.

I think there’s enough data that players like him won’t become superstars anymore. He can be a good piece which is why I personally wouldn’t take him top 3. Top 5 I would though.

    What data?

What do you mean players like him? A 6'10 wing who only question mark is the ability to shoot 3's at a above average clip and defensive intensity/

What is the data on a guy who never takes more than 3 dribbles at any given time or a guy whose body type is like Holmgren.

So now it's superstar or bust?

I'm interested to know why you think these other guys have superstar potential, but not Banchero?

Nobody is going to value pick 17 enough to move up in the top 5 this is the NBA and top 5 picks are more valuable than multiple 1st round picks.

This is not the NFL when was the last time anybody traded down out of the top 5 or out of the lottery?

Now I could see them trading for a future 1 but is this draft deep enough for that?

One last (4th) option. They trade the 17th pick, Bucks pick next year, Wood, KPJ, KJ Martin, all of the Nets pick, Green, Sengun. Starting lineup will be...

    PG Nix
    SG Christopher
    SF Jabari Smith
    PF Chet H
    C Paolo B

    Bench
    Big D*ck Garuba
    Average size P Garrison Matthews

p.s. draft a starting point guard in the 2023 draft and move lil PP Nix to the bench

I liked your idea of moving upto the upper teens, but I honestly believe you should banish any idea of trading Jalen Green as a last resort. Nix is a pure PG, but we need to retain KPJ too.

That sir was an attempt at humor. Barring any type of unrealistic trade that would not happen, I would not trade Green.

Wood is already 20/10 guy and leading scorer on Rockets for last 2 seasons.

He is also 6'10 and the biggest knock on him is his lack of rim protection and/or post defense.

But it's okay to add another 6'10 player who may put up similar numbers as Wood (or not) AND is also a liability on defense especially as rim protector?????

    The hypocrisy.

What does Banchero have to do with Gonzaga's offense?

It does not change the fact that Gonzaga plays a motion type offense involving a lot of screens and high/low post actions. They have a have had a lot of big tandems in recent memory Olynyk/Harris; Sabonis/Wiltjer; Rui/Clarke etc.

All featured heavily. Suggs, a guard, comes in as the highest rated recruit at the time and has a primary role...

Yes, it's odd that Chet was not featured more.

IDGAF if you have me on ignore or not, this comparison is just stupid .... and I'm not a Banchero guy.

Banchero compared to Boozer .... bout the only comparisons are that they both play basketball.

Banchero is an offensive hub in the half court and in transition creating for himself and others ..... bout the only thing Boozer ever did was hit a few mid range jumpers and dunks. His was a different era.

People really need to stop with all these stupid comparisons .... next you'll tell me Wembanyama is the next Shaq.

    LOL @ Paolo = CWood

The next time Christian Wood makes a good pass will be the first time he makes a good pass!

    Its getting wonky in here!
