OK, so keep the restrictions against hate speech in place here. Can you explain again why Twitter shouldn't do the same?
Terms of Service and Rules | ClutchFans You agree to not use the Service to submit or link to any Content which is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, spam or spam-like, likely to offend, contains adult or objectionable content, contains personal information of others, risks copyright infringement, encourages unlawful activity, or otherwise violates any laws. We can consider a few specific examples: Calling a Black poster the n-word.? Calling an East-Asian poster "g*ok"? Calling a female poster a "c*nt"? Calling a gay poster a "f*g"? Things of that nature. Should such content be moderated?
Did @Major write this wishful thinking piece? I had seen that and was waiting for the first desperate leftie to post it. Congrats, you did it.
This is my main source of confusion when it comes to people celebrating the potential transaction as a win for free speech, who says this guy is going to deliver? Since when do we trust the mega elite rich to look out for anybody but themselves? A change brings the potential for improvement sure, but just as well for degradation.
I don’t know Clutch personally but I feel like I know enough about the guy to know that if he ever felt as though this place got to the point where hate was manifested into action and couldn’t be self moderates by people of conscious he would act. I can’t see Clutch as a guy who would be okay with owning a platform where people posted mass shooter manifestos, or organized violent insurrections, etc. If there was someone here rallying a plot to… let’s say kidnap Lina Hidalgo, I trust Dave to be a decent human being and shut that down. So when it comes to moderation… well we already have mods but regardless… I think trust goes a long way and I wouldn’t push for more or less here necessarily. I have no trust in Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg. Not even close from a personal integrity standpoint. Dave is just a straight up good dude… not a narcissistic money grubbing troll jerk.
Twitter is privately owned. If you have a problem with it, don't use it. The likely future owner has told us the standards he would like to see applied. I welcome those. You can ask 1000 more times. Novody cares sbout whatever point you are unsuccessfully trying to make.
OK, so you don't want to explain why you were against content moderation before Musk took over (and cheered his takeover precisely for that reason), and yet you're totally fine with it here. Inconsistency noted. You can drop out of the thread now.
It was very obvious you were quite desperate to embarrass yourself and to unsuccessfully try and make a very weak point by comparing Clutchfans and Twitter. Sorry nobody humoured you. Your thread is useless. Take the loss. You will never understand the concept of free speech. Ever.
That's a great point, except that now it's going to be Twitter owned by Elon Musk. What that entails remains to be seen. Someone like @tinman looks at the acquisition as if God came down to Earth and purchased the company.
You get so angry so easily and then start throwing insults. Need to work on that. It doesn't look good.
Where is the insult? Did I call you names? I said you don't understand the concept of free speech. That's just a fact. No anger at all.
In the previous thread about this, the one I replied to you in about babylon bee, we had a federal judge refer to a SCOTUS case that was about a small comedy club and that judge was comparing Youtube to that comedy club. So where is the difference between Twitter and Clutchfans? Both are forums.
