With all the concerns of Easterby and his influence on decision making, wouldn't it be fun to see the meltdown in this thread if the Texans select Cross at #3?
I get the take here, and I don't disagree with it. But I also think the track record of corners taken in the top 5 has been pretty solid in recent years—Denzel Ward, Jalen Ramsey, Patrick Peterson, etc. Okudah's recent selection scares me, especially given that he's dealt with two injuries his first two seasons and has barely played for Detroit. But overall, corners taken high in the draft have performed well. If Caserio and co. trust that Stingley can stay healthy, I'm willing to take the risk.
Tankathon's mock draft is my best case scenario. https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/mock_draft 1.03: Ikem Ekwonu (OL) 1.13: Jermaine Johnson (Edge) 2.05: Christian Watson (WR) 3.04: Kenneth Walker (RB) 3.16: Coby Bryant (CB)
[Premium Post] I always bristle when I hear the term "sweet spot" used in business meetings. I believe it's far better to use the term "g-spot". Gets people much more excited and tuned in. GOOD DAY
Who trades up in front of us this year to take our guy? Has happened as long as I can remember when we have at least 1 first round pick.
Yeah I would soo take that draft! Perfect 1st 2 picks, both who I would want there (with the possible exception of Sauce or Stingley still there at #13). Love both Icky and JJ! Watson and Walker are great picks as well. At 3.16 I would rather Marcus Jones(UH) if he's still available but that's just nitpicking. Sign me up for this draft!
1) Jaguars are going Edge but he didn't say which one. 2) Lions' board is #1 Walker #2 Thibodeaux so they assume Walker is going 1st overall and will pick KT but if Walker isn't the pick they will take him. 3) Texans expect the first 2 picks to be Walker then Thibodeaux and based on that they will take Stingley.
I have been okay with most of Caserio's moves, but if Hutch is there at 3 and they don't take him, Caserio and Lovie should be fired before they are allowed to make the 13th pick
Scott Bischoff is a showman -- similar to his cousin Eric Bischoff of pro wrestling fame -- and I seriously doubt he has inside info on anything. Scott uses some of the same hype tactics as his cousin Eric. I have a rich background in psychology and can easily spot this.
