because no midrange and he knows his 3 pt isnt really reliable at higher volume despite shooting 38% for now if i trust your data......

if his 3pt shot were reliable hed be 3 times champion by now

For sure he's not as automatic as, say, Steph Curry is in 3 point territory but this is one of Harden's weaknesses--he doesn't adjust well in the postseason. If the refs give him an unfavorable whistle he doesn't recognize that and adjust; he'll continue to try and draw fouls near the basket without trying to finish the play for an And-1.

I get that. But it would be like Harden playing with prime Hakeem and asking him to run pick-and-rolls. It would theoretically be successful, but that's not Hakeem's game. It's pratically an insult.

    Bro where is @HardenVolumeOne

I need him to answer for why Harden is struggling. Is GAMATRIA not working properly? Is it the conspiracy theory against darker skinned players that is taking down Embiid and Harden? I need answers.

Is 1.24 PPP above average? Seems like it, but not sure.

FVV getting hurt was a blessing in disguise. At least, for this series.

That's true, but if it's an easy basket and/or you get fouled every time, then you should run that play into the ground until Nurse counters you. Just because it's not your biggest strength doesn't mean you should necessarily shy away from it.

    Definitely above average.

League leaders(among players with at least 2 pnr possessions per game as the roll man) were in the 1.3 to 1.5 PPP range but most of those guys are the kind of guys who are pretty much only catching lobs out of the pick and roll action. John Collins, Dwight Powell, Javale McGee, Gobert, CC…

I said when the rumors of the trade started Morey wouldn't be satisfied until Harden ended his career.

Harden's hamstring isn't as big an issue as that spare tire he is carrying around these days.

There's probably a compromise that would give Embiid more of choice. Stockton Malone combination or something. That would also be less of an injury risk to Embiid as he doesn't have to jump high for alley-oops.

So it is the defense. Hmm.

    Nick Nurse is worth it.

They arent running the pick and roll because they are swtiching most of the time. Toronto doesnt want them to run that play. Toronto is switching everything.

Possibly. It's different running PnRs when, like @HP3 says:

It's definitely different for Harden now that Van Vleet's out. Toronto is basically running 6'6" or taller players at every position and everyone of them can switch/defend.

Honestly the basketball fan in me would rather see Toronto vs Miami in the next round than Philly vs Miami

Honestly, he wasnt even playing that well when Van Fleet was in. He can actually take Gary Trent Jr and Thad Young. Its Precious, Barnes, and OG that are really bothering him, oh yea he can take Siakm as well, he just cant get enough separation and he gets blocked.

I hate the very concept that the playoffs "changes the rules" all of a sudden
NOW we gonna allow hacking and bumping etc.
Call it that way all year or the other way . ..be consistent

Basically the Refs can say . . .this helps this team . . .so I will call it this way and call it playoffs
    Refs make series
