This is what we need. For this perceived 4 person draft to become a 5 person draft. I posted yesterday that Sharpe was ranked 3rd after Chet and Paolo coming out of high school.

No. NIL is perfectly legal now days.

Tshiebwe is skipping the draft and returning to Kentucky next season due to $2 million in NIL deals.

Rockets paid with worst record in the NBA. It's not like we'll keep having good 1st round picks every year. Because of Tilman / Morey / and Stone... for the Westbrook trade, the debt after 2023, has to be paid to OKC for that 1st rounder.

There's going to be years in the near future where we're not going to have top 5 draft picks. Can't be wasting them.

if Sharpe blows people away, maybe that high. but those guys have the same ceiling with less risk. I do hope he makes it a 5 player draft so we have a chance to land one of the forwards even at #4 or #5.

I think Eason is slipping in a lot of mocks and scouts big boards. while Daniels and Sochan continue to climb. not sure why, but I've seen him available at #17 and later. so much time left, and everything is still very fluid. we'll see how things shake out.

I'm with you on Dieng but not on PBJ.

I think we can offer a great "one more try" offer for them.

all of the vets you mentioned are on expiring deals and don't have to be retained after next year if dame wants out. all could help make the playoffs with him.

wood/tate/nwaba can be traded for Bledsoe... gordon fits into their TE... send them all there and move up from 17 to 6.

    Yes

    Dame...............Anfernee Simmons [ 17.3 pts...3.9 Ast...40% (3P%)]
Eric Gordon....Josh Hart (Non Guaranteed $13M,...14.9 pts)
Tate.................worthy of 1st rounder or better than any mid first SF this draft. / Nwaba
    Greg Brown.....Justice Winslow
    C Wood............Trendon Watford

They could bring back Nurkic if they wish or look for additional front line help
    by clearing Josh Hart.

They have some newbie guards in Keon Johnson and
C J Elleby and Didi Louzada who need more time to develop.

Elijah Hughes and Nassir Little need more time at SF.

I doubt thats gonna be enough to get a top 3 pick since this is seen as a 4 man draft.

Sharpe is legit. I personally like Mark Williams of Duke as a perfect fit for the Rockets. He’s much better than Duran, just seems like we could get him at #11 rather than 5. If we pass on Sharpe at 4 or 5, we’ll regret it for years to come. Think he’ll be better than Ivey and certainly was a much better HS player.

…..not a rip on Ivey by the way, whom I would take at 5 no doubt if Sharpe gets grabbed at 4.

It's possible because of this relatively weak draft.

pretty much, as long as they don't jump into the top 4.

Murray had a massive leap from his freshman to sophomore year after being put in a new role. Not just in scoring, but in efficiency, which is the most promising thing. Plus he's 21, not 24...there's reason to believe he still has untapped potential.

Calpari made the decision because he was late and wasn't ready. Couldn't make a shot after running? Sounds like he was just terrible in practice. Said they might throw him out there if injuries hit, injuries did hit and he still never saw the floor. When Cal says he's protecting the players, he means draft stock. Mission accomplished.

If this interview isn't a red flag I dunno what is.
