NATO, US and certainly not Ukraine are not just slowly giving away territory. While Russia has made progress in the south they utterly failed to capture Kyiv and had to humiliating retreat from there. So far the battle for Donbas appears to be stalemated. This isn't a choice of go all in or do nothing. Providing arms and aid to the Ukrainians is working so far.
I'm all for doing anything required for Ukraine short of sending in troops or starting a nuclear war. Give them all the equipment and intel we have to offer.
That depends upon your perspective, do you think it is working for all the civilians that are being killed? DD
Careful, fat gamer boy meant white civilians. @DaDakota is one of those classic racist liberal virtue signalers on this board. He went out of his way to say he didn’t give a **** about Afghanis getting killed, even the innocent aid worker blown up by the drone while bringing water
Ex-Trump national security advisor John Bolton says 'Putin saw Trump doing a lot of his work for him,' so he chose not to invade Ukraine
This guy lmao, has zero concept of anything outside of Skyrim furiously eating cheetohs from his keyboard tries to tell us one conflict is more important than the others. the world got ****ed by the Iraq and Afghanistan invasion. intervening here would mean the closest we’ve ever gotten to full blown nuclear war Let me explain it so you understand because you’ve never thought of yourself as actuallly fighting these wars No cheetohs no video games is that easier to understand?
There are many people left and right who feel Ukraine is far more important. There are many on the right who virtue signal. These terms are just ways to dismiss people and make oneself feel good. What's the point in debate if we're going to label people who disagree with us? So a civilian death in Ukraine is more important than a civilian death in Afghanistan. That's what you just stated you realize?
What do you mean label? He has checked off every single box for those traits. He uses being a liberal and accepting as a guise but is probably the most racist poster on this site. Countless afghanis lost their lives and he openly didn’t give a **** as was evidenced by his posts. Now fat gsmer boy wants to act like he knows anything about what is more important while advocating for war with the 2 biggest nuclear superpowers. That’s deep seated racial bias there, nothing else. At least texxx owned up to it
That is what you are trying to get the argument to, but that is not what I said. The war in the Ukraine is more important for world stability than the civil war in Afgahnistan. The War in the Ukraine actually has an ARMY on the battlefield to fight and it is more important to the world, therefore it is more important. While all deaths may be equal, all wars are not. DD
Assuming this is at least partly true, can we stop the outrage posting when someone dares compare beloved Putin to a dictator like Hitler? Nearly 200,000 children are going to be kidnapped and essentially sold off. Most of these people are likely to be sent to Siberia where nobody wants to live which is a huge issue for Russia. So call it genocide, or whatever but what Putin is doing here is a crime against humanity we’ve never seen at this scale since the 1940’s.
Two types of nukes - tactical and strategic. I think he might use tactical if he's losing badly. NO ONE WANTS to ever launch a strategic nuke attack for any reason at all. But it just happens that the world has set up conditions to make it possible. The international MAD strategy. The conditions are all in theory, but the thinking is it likely requires active wars between major nuke powers. Wars aren't clean (an understatement), mistakes are made and perceived attacks (said on nuclear launch facilities) and escalation leads to.... more mistakes that eventually lead to the unthinkable. As if war sometime has a storyline taking the actors to places where they can't control everything. Can't rule out a proxy war and economic war as a trigger, but I think it's quite clear that those do not involve direct military actions from the US, France, or the UK. Mistakes of a perceived nuke attack are much less likely. Thus, the chance of MAD is extremely much lower.
