Not the right time imo. The org has come this far being terrible and trying to rebuild. Just do it right with the picks and cheaper FA’s. If the team was a player or two away from contending for the playoffs I’d probably say do it.
No he would be wasted here. It's not like we're one good reciever away from contending. Stick to the plan. Build through the draft.
No. Maybe if the team was on the verge of being a playoff team. But not now. Not in a rebuild when you need players at almost every position. Make use of all the picks you have through the draft.
I would under the belief i was going to trade down from #3 and an extension can be figured out ahead of time... no laremy plan here... I would offer a #2 this year, Cleveland #1 next year, and a #2 in 2024. I would then front load his money into the 100 million cap space... That would assume they pick up a high #2 this year and a 2 or 3 next year by trading down...
Same ole' Texan fans. Scared! This is the time to start building. You build through FA, Trades and the Draft. If they traded a #1 and a #3, they will still have draft capital. There are still FA out there and they have more draft capital and money next yr.....GO GET DEEBO
No. There is ZERO reason to trade for a WR when u just signed Cooks and trying to develop Collins and Jordan.
No. I would rather use 13 on one of the best WR in the draft and save the cap space. The cost for Deebo in picks and salary will be too much. I mean unless BoB has become SF's GM. Then I am all for it.
I'm not against it but it depends on how the draft goes, what pick it would take to get him, and how much to sign him? I want to see what Mills can do with some weapons and Deebo is a weapon. I'm also not against drafting a WR at 13 depending who is there, but I not trading it for Deebo. I would consider trading the 2nd round pick. As far as the price right now the Texans have that cap space to take a gamble on Deebo. I just don't want to break the bank on him. If they truly believe he is a difference maker and can help the team I say go for it.
We sign Debo and we may win 1 more game this season- justifiably, that is worth 30 mil per season....
Deebo be like ... stop making me a RB or trade me ... but don't stop paying me like a WR+RB and a slot WR at that. Just say no.
If they trade down and pick up a 2 from the #3 spot, they could add Samuel, the top wr in the draft, a top guard or tackle at #13, and a new rb at the top of the second... If cooks is your third wr then Mills is going to have a lot of weapons...
I'm fine with spreading the pick cost out over 3 years if they can replace them by trading down from #3... Deebo is going to help a lot more than the difference between the 3rd and 10th best player in the draft...
Of course we shouldn't. All I can think of is maybe they want this move as marketing/image rehabilitation to show that high end players still will come to the Texans.
