    I didn't even know this was a thing. Were they actually expecting people to pay for yet another subscription service just to watch cable news programming? Cable news sucks.

    This isn't cable news, in fact I believe the one thing might have garnered the most subscribers, a live or semi-delyaed, commercial-free news feed with a news crawl, wasn't possible per their cable agreements and likely not economically appealing depending on ad revenues. I would have payed for that just for something to look at during WFH Zoom meetings or video interviews.

    CNN saw Disney do Disney+ and thought they could hop on the wave? But instead of getting more Marvel and exclusive shows, we’d be getting more news that they already broadcast on regular CNN that I don’t even watch to begin with? Whoever came up with this idea should be fired effective immediately.

    only way CNN+ or any news streaming service would ever show up on my bank statement is if I’ve been a victim of fraud

    All streaming services should go get f***ed anyway. Just another way of forcing people to pay extra for content that should be available on a cable channel.

    Hbo max is for people who don’t have cable and just want hbo.
    Cnn plus makes no sense cause everyone gets the news in some form. Also doubt anyone would pay to see Jamele hill

    Streaming should be the beginning of the end of cable for this exact reason. I don't k now contractual obligations of networks to cable providers but networks at some point are gonna start offering their stations through streaming and you can just get what you want

    CNN+ doesn't appeal to older people. Older people are still stuck on cable.
    Younger people definitely don't give a **** about subscribing to paid news content.

    Stopped paying attention to news & politics and my life has been great.
