well the analytics told him to take the most efficient shot

perhaps the analytics was based on an insufficient data or small sample sizes?
perhaps the didnt take in account that when tired or too excited 3 pt shooting becomes less efficient?
    0-27 anyone?

Yes, because sometimes there are players that are not selected in the top 5 that do well in the NBA. And… he just can’t believe it!!

Nor will he shut up about it lol

This is another reason why I love playoff basketball--the adjustments. Good coaches can lead a team into the playoffs but successful coaches are often the ones that make adjustments.

Instead of keeping Adams in the starting lineup (and even in the rotation), Jenkins took him out and the Grizzlies have not only won the last 2 games but KAT has been playing like crap since.

Minnesota is getting some hard lessons. but it's a reminder how far the Rockets have to go even after we develop the talent. We still have a sea of lumps and delusions we have to take.

Kat faltering as a high lottery pick is apparently ammo for why top picks aren't all that in hakeem94 mind

"but i was told top 3 pick is A LOT LOT better than the teen picks or late FRPs"

Dumba$$ fails to realized that the same Kat and ant edwards two top pick players (both first overall) lost to a team led by another high lottery draft player in the form of ja morant drafted 2nd overall.

    Mind boggling I know.

Take that for data used to b an ultimate mic drop phrase, this dumba$$ is attempting to use it as a catch phrases for the dumbest stances, quite sad.

Some have their own schtick or angle on here and I can respect that but to have "Hakeem94" as your name and saying that tanking doesn't work is ...a bit hypocritical.

I maybe foul mouth, but I can't stand delusional folks blabbering rando sht cherry picking instance and thinking it's data. Hakeem94 refuses to believe tanking works cause she believes all talents r equal bs and u can find greatness any draft position even when the data proves otherwise.

Like out of most of posters round here I honestly think u and flamingdts can rightfully use that phrases "take that for data".

I think if your belief is that "tanking does not guarantee championships" then yea, that's a pretty good statement to stand by because nothing can guarantee you championships. The issue with that statement, though, is that you're making tanking into a binary proposition--either you succeed and win a championship or you fail. There are so many variables that goes into it that it's not that simple. Houston made the right decision in tanking for Hakeem but that move didn't bear the best of fruits until 10 years into Hakeem's career--the team needed to acquire the right players, the right coaches, some luck, etc.

There's plenty of ways to build a championship contender. I mean you can go out and just sign free agents and immediately push your team into contender status but that also involves a lot of variables--a superstar available via free agency, the team have the requisite cap space, the superstar wanting to play on the team, the team having a good roster of complementary players, etc.

Some on here might want to scream "Look! [Player X] was drafted [non-lottery pick]!!!" til the cows come home but the fact of the matter is that you find your franchise players at the top of the draft more often than you do outside of the lottery. There's actual hard data that supports that and the one of the best ways for you to get into the position to acquire a player at the top of the draft is to *drumroll* tank.

I do hope u aren't confusing me with hakeem94 anti tank stance.

Your post is very well written. Tanking doesn't guarantee championships, there r more than one way to build a championship team. A lot of variance and variables to get to the end goal.

Hakeem94 refuses to believe that for every giannis or Jimmy butler. U have a sht ton of HoF and superstars drafted in the lottery.

Are you talking about Tyus Jones? The PG with a career average of 6.2 PPG and 3.7 assists? The kind of stats one would expect from a late first round pick?
