And this is why Chet should be better than perennial DPOY candidate Rudy Gobert.

Chet not a liability when switched.

Right now I haven't seen enough of Sharpe to say.

What I can say is Sharpe's shooting form and body appear superior to Ivey..... Ivey is quicker and more explosive getting to the corner and hole. There is so much tape on Ivey it is easy to see his flaws... and all we see with Sharpe is potential.

I will trust the Rockets front office and scouts until they show me I should not. While it is debatable who was the right pick at #2 last year, Green finished really strong and looks like a major piece and Christopher low key was very good this season.

This is not about him being a good shooter its about him saying he needs to learn to shoot as if he is currently incapable.

Now if he actually means needs to learn to shoot better, but since he said he no offensive skills, I think he was trying to say he currently can't shoot at all.

Would you say Sengun needs to learn how to shoot?

Gobert deserves some blame for not being able to stay on the court in small ball...... but really, the reality is that the Jazz are terrible defensively on the perimeter and the failing wouldn't be such an issue if they were even just above average out there.... it is a possibility that Gobert would be able to survive on the floor.

Gobert and JJJ are NBA comps most associated with Chet.

No, he doesn't need to learn to shoot. He has really nice form and is already near elite from 10-16 feet from the basket.

    Exactly. Jazz perimeter D reeks.

Also it would be nice if they had any 2 way switchable players that could backstop Gobert when he does get switched and forced away from paint.

    Respond to this:

Who would you rather have: Jalen Green or Evan Mobley?

It will tell me everything I need to know

He’s a league average to above average athlete. Paolo isn’t much different. Julius Randle isn’t much different.
Once he’s done growing and adds some lean muscle he will be fine. His basketball IQ can’t be taught. He could very well end up the best player on this team.

He’s also a main core piece and has to be considered for fit. None of the players coming out are better than him right now.

Gobert’s problem is that he refuses to leave the paint on D, and in the playoffs where teams routinely go small or try to put as much shooting as possible out there, he gives up open three after open three

then on offense, he is super limited…provides no shooting whatsoever, and he has butter fingers on the low block

I was a huge Mitchell fan when he came into the league and thought he would get into that top 5-7 players in the league status but his defense is almost Lillard bad.

I think you misread his post. He didn't say Mobley has no offensive skills. He said Mobley has a lower ceiling than Green and Cade and isn't that skilled offensively (possibly in comparison to prior two players). I can see why someone would think Cade and Green have more offensive potential.

Does Sengun need to learn how to shoot? I'd say he's currently a bad shooter. His percentages outside the paint are poor. He's certainly a good offensive player, but it would help everyone if he had a reliable jumper. Even if he were reliable from midrange I would be happy.

Not sure I'd take Gobert with a top 5 pick honestly. I'm assuming that's mostly a defensive comp.

Chet offers a lot more than just interior defense and weak side blocks.
He has huge switch potential, pick and roll defense, drop, perimeter and interior upside.
To go along with being a 39% shooter from 3 and elite finisher around the rim

    He really isn't Gobert.

First, I don't think he is going to be as good a post defender.

Gobert is 7'1" and 245 lbs with a massive 7'9" wingspan.

Holmgren is around 7'1" and 190 lbs with a wingspan of around 7'7".

Gobert is longer and stronger in the post, and he can use his length and strength to dominate the boards as well.

Holmgren is in the same class as Gobert as a shot blocker, and actually has better instincts and a better feel for the game... but Holmgren is a lot less heavy and not as big in the post, so he will likely be good to very good in the post but not like Rudy.

What Holmgren brings is that he is very well rounded as a defender, he can switch on to the perimeter, he has an awesome second step so he can catch up when helping as a team defender or catching up to a guy that gets around him.

If anything, Holmgren is more like Draymond Green in how he will play style wise as a defender. He will be a better interior defender than Green but not as good as a perimeter defender.... but he is going to be free lancing a lot like Green does.

It does not matter because if you think that question tells you anything it means you know nothing.

Anyone here knows who I wanted, and it does not matter now because nothing will change.

I have no issue with Green and hope he continues his upward trajectory, but I also realize the jury is still out.

So you want to tell us whose burner account this is?
