Can we just go back to just Christmas with the decorations? Never-ending pageantry, costumes, countdowns and decorations. Valentines, decorations, t-shirts, blah blah blah. Easter, Saint Patrick's day, Mardi Gras, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween...it never ends.

You must be my soul mate. My wife however…..has no less than 40 large totes worth of holiday decorations. I can’t wait to fall out of the attic and kill myself taking all that **** up and down.

Once a year I help my mom put the tree in the stand and carry it into her house. Once a year I get down her Xmas boxes off a top shelf in the barn. Once a year I haul off the tree. Once a year I climb the ladder and put the boxes back.

None more involvement. This is the way.

Trashing cultural celebrations, and on National Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day, no less. What a Scrooge.

Tell me about it! Every week it's some holiday theme now.

And of course every day is a "National day". Can we get a national day for shutting the fk up..

I have yet to see a Steak and BJ day yard decoration.

I don't endorse or recognize this day as a rule. It implies there's ONE day a year for a good meal and a BJ.

I think by declaring and celebrating that day, there's no arguments regarding expectations on THAT particular day.

We give Valentines only one day a year...but celebrate love with those who we love all year long. There's just an expectation that something special happen on that particular day (February 14th).

    That's all.

So you can take your chances on all 365 days...OR, you can take your chances on 364 days and a guaranteed celebration one day a year. Just sayin'.
