    This is such a dumb bill. It really affects the local municipalities and other businesses that benefit from the special tax district. Since Disney is providing all those services, it would shift the cost onto the local cities to cover them, and Disney would pay property taxes but it's very hard to figure our and assess the value of all the land it occupies. Other businesses in that district would then have to pay tax hurting the entire area.

    This is an example of trying to cancel Disney for a political opinion but pushing the pain onto pretty much everyone but Disney - all to make a political statement.

    That's how Desantis would run things. Hollow victories that go against conservative principles, basically showing he's willing to go full commie when a business insults him. Very Putin of him.

    Plus the worst part is, that the bill wouldn't prohibit Disney from creating a new special tax district before this one expires!!

    He's not canceling them, he's removing their special privileges.

    Also I'm sure they are negotiating things right now.

    Now for HIGHER LEVEL QUESTIONING AND THINKING

    you know that video that leaked about all those woke executives at disney trying to make everything woke?

    1.WHO LEAKED THAT??
    2. Did that person get fired?

    Speculation:
    The direction that they were going by these woke executives were hurting the bottom line, so an executive OR HIGHER leaked it out to the public.
    This forces a reaction from Disney shareholders and customers to react negatively.

    This was done on purpose by someone in Disney.
    The main goal of Disney is to make money and this agenda wasn't working so they had to rat these executives out.

    He's retaliating for them opposing his political agenda - that's called cancel culture. Disney said what he was doing was whack, and he is trying to cancel their tax district now.

    But it doesn't hurt Disney, it hurts the small business around Disney - but that doesn't matter, because this is all for him to get conservatives to love DeSantis. It's garbage nonsense.
