lol… another one of this mask certainly work but of course the quality matter the extreme antimask folks thinking it’s doesn’t work at all are failing basic understanding blocking viral particles is a basic material and physical property and of course that help kind of like claiming seatbelt doesn’t work for seatbelt, we just need to understand the basic science of motion… we don’t need to go all fancy on double blinded studies or anything now that doesn’t mean that the quality of seatbelt doesn’t matter, of course it does … but imagine if there are extreme anti-seatbelt folks saying it doesn’t work at all…
I know they work, so I don't understand the people that question why anyone is wearing a mask as the quoted tweet implies. If people want to wear them, regardless of whether or not they HAVE to, so what? Let them be.
Psst. I have a super secret @AroundTheWorld selfie. Please, do not repost. Spoiler @AroundTheWorld has gotten covid 5 times since the pandemic start and never once removed his mask. Living proof that masks ... do ... not ... work. Yall do your own research now.
Cause they are extreme anti-maskers. These people are either dumb to think it doesn't work at all or inconsiderate of others' choices (whatever their reasons which could include trying to protect themselves because they have cancer or someone vulnerable at home). I do recommend the highest quality mask for those that choose to wear one. Personally, I no longer wear one since transmission is low now. But I will wear one again if transmission picks up. Same as last year - I stopped wearing during Summer and start wearing again during Delta and Omicron high spread.
Yes, people can wear 8 masks on top of each other, as far as I am concerned. But mask mandates are bullshit. And "I know they work" is not supported by real life data, see above (again).
On my flight last night, the pilot announced that masks were no longer required. Any guesses who did not removed their masks? The flight attendants. Looks like they are not up on @AroundTheWorld 's covid research.
I am waiting for your vaccine research to let us all know that vaccines don't work, so I can post this ... Spoiler After getting covid 5 times and buying a covid vaccination card at fair market value, @AroundTheWorld knows that vaccnes ... do ... not ... work.
Supported by comprehensive studies in Science and Nature magazines. I'll say it again: comparing a local government policy with outcomes, sadly, gives horribly uncontrolled and non-scientific data b/c people don't follow local policies, in both directions. But that **** great for Twitter I guess. I'm not arguing for mandates, but (to repeat more logic) there's a ****ing obvious reason doctors wear good masks in hospitals, and it's not b/c your fave twitter accounts are smarter than 99% of medical professionals. Sheesh. Just don't ever wear a mask but [EDIT] ease up already, LOL. Mask mandates don't work well, I agree, because ... humans. But good masks, worn properly, totally reduce transmission of this virus.
I think you missed the part of the bbs where ATW has been lecturing others about not being able to read the data.
N95/FFP2/FFP3 work in a controlled setting, when worn properly (by professionals) for a limited amount of time. That's why it makes sense for hospital professionals to wear them to protect themselves, for sure. Cloth masks have almost no effect at all. And masks on children have almost no positive effect because you can expect even less compliance. Then, there is also the issue of negative effects of masks on human interaction and psyche. Locking yourself up alone at home forever without ever interacting with another person in any way would "work" in terms of preventing infections. But it would still not make sense. Whether masks work in real life settings - well, look at the data. You guys consistently ignore data that doesn't support the narrative you have been told to follow.
You constantly do not consider context. The graph you re-tweeted implied that covid infections is a function of whether or not one wears a mask.
