So now this about should Harden recieveing the max?

I would not pay him the max either, but I am not sure if he will not do the same a Paul, Harden does not seem the type to be overly worried about getting a max at this point in his career, especially if he thinks he can make the team better.

His first step was always elite, as was his beast rush to the rim thru contact to finish drives
Also nearly-elite lateral agility to create space on stepbacks, eurosteps, etc

No he was never vertically explosive
    Neither was Paul

    Time will tell
If Harden is still making Finals at age 36/37 as 2nd-star next to Embiid like CP3 is next to Booker ...
I will have plenty of crow

If he's become an untradable contract albatross dragging down another future HOFamer or two like Russ is now in LA after the MEGA-extension Morey is about to give him ...
That's more like the narrative I see playing out for Harden from this point forward

    I think you may be mis-remembering a younger CP3.

For philly, the amount they signed Harden to will be very significant since they will be facing the repeater tax next year. Not many teams are willing to pay hundred of millions in taxes like the Nets and warriors.

As for whether Harden is willing to take significantly less than the max, I wouldn't bet on any athlete who still believe themselves to be in their prime to do so. I was surprised at CP3 signing that contract as he really did Sarver (a billionaire) a huge favor.

I expect most superstars to sign for their max or close to it like Curry, LeBron, Kobe, KD, etc all did, unless they are near the end of their career like dirk and Duncan.

14 points on 3 for 9 shooting, 6 assists to 5 Turnovers and he played 42 mins. That’s a high usage bum. Like wtf was he even doing? Yet his delusional fan club thinks this sorry ass mofo gonna win a championship.

Yah Daryl that’s gonna be a no for me dog.

    Ok?

I don't understand how this has to do anything I have said.

I was responding to your point that CP3 was a good comp for Harden (which I agreed with) and the question of if they were max players for their respective teams.

Harden made 3 field goals total in 42 mins. Meanwhile Steph comes off the bench and erupts for 34 in 23 minutes looking every bit as dominant as he did 6-7 years ago. Dude also just came back from injury why aren’t people using his ankle as an excuse? Oh cause they don’t have to. Harden fanbois still hanging on tight to a hamstring excuse from a year ago.

Terrible matchup for Raptors and no Barnes... Anyone believing that Philly will go far in the playoffs is flat out lying to themselves....

Yup you got me, everyone before the series was saying that The Raptors size was totally going to stop Embiid.... I mean, its not like they only have power forwards and their two best ones are injured...

Raptors are dead last in defense rating out of all 16 teams in the playoffs. I understand there’s Harden fans and that you guys gotta defend him mercilessly but you should know 9 total field goals made in 2 games ain’t gonna cut it against the Nets, Bucks, or Heat.

The raptors are dead last because they are playing the sixers..... its kind of silly to bring up ratings in the post season especially in the first round because every team only plays one team, and its been two games. Why would you ignore the sample size of an 82 game season and try to use two playoff games against an elite offense and say they cant defend ? They cant defend this sixer team that is still getting better. Keep in mind they have only played around 30 games together. We have not seen the best of them.

And yet it didnt stop them when they went 3-1 against them in the regular season. Raptors have had the sixers number for years. Thats why they were so happy to get philly. Raptors fans really believed they could beat them and lots of talking heads said phily was in trouble.

Raptors fans believing they can beat Philly because of the regular season is like Harden super fans thinking Philly can beat the top teams in the east because they beating up on The Raptors..
