You realize people here didn't realize it was TWO DIFFERENT WOKE LUNATICS they thought it was ONE WOKE LUNATIC TRAVELING TO GAMES

So the D&D itself thought it was the SAME PERSON

I'm not blind, but I think you have rambled off into uttering meaningless words at this point so I'm out of here.

it's true, if you read the thread and stayed on topic of the protest of chickens instead of trying to change the topic
    @AroundTheWorld
    1. two people disrupted nba games for chicken rights
    2. two white women
    3. the d&d members thought it was the same woman
    4. the description of these women as 'woke' was universally used and understood

You said all woke lunatics are the same. Not sure who you put in that broad category but you use that word as much as that guy you tag on almost all your posts. You know, your Republican friend who says he isn't against gays because he has a gay friend....LMAO.

they both were protest CHICKEN RIGHTS because the owner HAD TO KILL DISEASED CHICKENS which is in accordance of the FDA practices

    Maybe there's layers of WOKE
    SEMI-WOKE
    STANDARD WOKE
    SUPER WOKE

I guess if you killed a mosquito and your friends starts crying for the mosquito

There was a streaker a few weeks ago that got tackled on the court during a game. It was good for a laugh. I suppose he must have received a fine for it. Is that the level of offense we're talking about here? If so, at least these women did what they did for a cause (treatment of animals on factory farms) that is meaningful to many people. And what they did seems to have had negligible impact on people's enjoyment of the game itself, like the streaker.

It just seems strange to me that this would be perceived as a much greater offense, because it was an act of protest as opposed to pure thrill-seeking.

they did break laws, you can't roll up on the court as a fan. Also the other person brought a metal chain.
This is not a mild offense, they'll be banned for going to any arenas.

So this makes me curious if anyone in the D&D is crazy enough to do something like this for their 'cause'

Luckily for them, it wasn't the malice in the palace.

So if she tied herself with a zip tie rather than a metal chain, does it become a mild offense then? On the same level as that streaker?

Metal Chain is considered an object you can use as a weapon.
Somehow someone dropped the ball at the metal detector.

The streaker and animal rights activist accomplished drawing attention to themselves for a brief period of time.

However the animal rights activist didn't accomplish their goals of stopping Glen Taylor killing all those chickens or being punished for it.
All those chickens that were infected did die.

There's better ways of activism to the masses, a good netflix documentary etc

These women who aren't the same person is basically the preacher on the block talking about the bible while people are walking to the arena and on their phones.

I'm not siding with that woman. She's obviously an extreme attention seeker. Curious, what exactly does woke mean to you? I wouldn't know if I am woke or not by some people's definition of it. Do you consider yourself woke?

Yes, I agree. But I suspect this thread would have been created even if she didn't use a metal chain. Am I wrong?

That wasn't the activist's goal, because the chickens were already killed. The goal was to bring more attention to the practice to help bring about future change. A single act of protest isn't going to force the change on its own. Seems unfair to criticize it on that basis.

I guess the organization she's part of is doing what all they can with the resources they have, including media outreach.

I guess it might be an opportune time to share the link to John McWhorter's book again

The definition of the word woke sounds like a different thread .
Before in the 90s, it was when your alarm goes off and you realize you got to go class .

now it seems like it’s about crazy people projecting cartoon morals and norms on people like this

I haven’t read the book, but have liked the articles by the author in The Atlantic and in the NYT.

Judging by the title, not sure it has much to do with the topic of this thread. Is it applicable?

The word has basically been appropriated by critics of Social Justice activism, often to criticize people when they go too far in trying to suppress free speech.

Personally, I think when it’s used as a pejorative (which is almost always the case now), it’s best to limit it to cases where the people being criticized are somehow denying the rights of others for their cause.

It seems like people use it all different ways. So some use the term as any crazy Karens? I wonder if those people use woke to include all Karens left and right trying to force their morals on views on others? Some seem to use it as any views of Democrats they disagree with, but I don't see it used towards Republicans. Weird.
