I know that feeling. ATW harassed me all the time to the point of stalking. It's not as bad now though, and some called him out for it, but not the ones defending him now obviously. I guess because it was funny to them to see me harassed.
You're right. It's getting harder to understand people in person and online. People are both more sensitive and opinionative over issues they identify with but aren't directly affected. People want to feel right or belong but forget the amount of dead time it takes for people to see and get used to others. So everyone has to learn and walk around eggshells over people's comfort zones (trigger code words: handouts, merit, equality, freedom, fair...) And it's not a generational thing either. Old lonely Boomers have that opinionative attitude where they can't take where they dish out. It's really a skill to be challenged or confronted with your flaws and bs. Digital age makes it harder because we can retreat into our echo chambers. Covid makes it harder because we've fallen out of practice. I'm not sure what the answer is other than recognizing it and trying to be a little more patient in those situations.

There are people who call the homeless and poor lazy mo fo's, even if they work 2 jobs to make ends meet. If you don't walk in their shoes you don't know their story unless you take the time to listen. The struggles are real in this country. Many can't afford healthcare, but guys like Musk get billions in government funding and tax breaks to make more billions. If the poor need help many call it Socialism or Communism. Things are crazy now.
This 1 million times this.......we are the richest country in the world and we don't have national health care....why we refuse to spend 5% of our income on that and instead pay nearly 20% on private insurance is beyond stupid to me. Our country has gone back to the robber barron era, and now Unions are spreading, we need them to be strong to take over this country from the greedy scumbags who are running it now....and give it back to the people. No, I didn't hear that, but there are always loonies who take issues to extremes. We used to call people like that tree huggers when I was younger. Like the ones who stayed in trees or chained themselves to them to get attention to their cause. The fanatics go way back. Greenpeace fanatics we're doing crazy stuff 50 years ago. I guess they would do whatever they could to stop the killing of animals and trees. We didn't have social media then. Now people spew out all kinds of crazy on social media, like those Q crazies. We had attention seekers streaking all the time in the 70's. Even now people do it at sporting events to get on TV. Some seek attention for a cause and some seek attention for themselves. As long as they aren't hurting anyone I don't care. Sometimes it's entertaining I guess. If people didn't stand up for human rights and equality there would still be slaves in the south, women and minorities wouldn't be able to vote, people would still be burning crosses in someone's yard or hanging them from a tree, "No Colored People" or "No Negroes" signs would still be hanging in diners and swimming pools, and pro sports teams would be all white men, just to name a few of the MANY changes. The woke lunatics aren't the downfall of society. Who's being the drama queen now? Equality and justice for all is a good thing. Fighting against discrimination is a good thing. If a huge number of Americans are still being treated differently, then we still need people speaking out. It should have nothing to do with red or blue party when it involves equality. The bigger threat is that we have more and more extremist and hate groups in our country. It's the rising up of racism, hate, and division again that's the most dangerous. That's my opinion, love it or leave it.

I'm surprised that you feel the need to defend how @tinman posts in the basketball forums. I clearly made my post entirely about how he posts in D&D and have no problem with his posts anywhere else. Obviously, you are free to view how @tinman posts in D&D anyway you like, just as I'm free to disagree with how you view his behavior here. @tinman's just as obviously free to post down here as often and however as he wishes. However, if I had the ability to put @tinman on ignore just in D&D, I would do it in a New York minute.
