He would be awesome at 17. It seems as if Dieng, Dyson Daniels and Sochan have jumped into the 7-12 range. Eason’s age could help him drop. Great fit

Giannis, Embiid, Jokic all seem to be doing ok from the paint or midrange.

This year Bulls, Nets, 76ers, Suns(just to name a few top teams) are bottom 5 teams in 3pt attempts however they all do shot it well.
Banchero with his vision and passing ability would not be a hinderance. KPJ, Green, Tate, Wood all shoot very well on catch & shoot 3s. Banchero is also great from the corner on catch and shot 3s.

Banchero's ability in the PnR against a zone would be deadly.

Raptors won a championship with a great deal of zone

Miami plays a great deal of zone

Milwaukee is known for packing the paint & allowing 3-point shooting somewhat.
They try to take away all the paint points and mid range and challenge teams to get
enough 3's to beat them on mostly 3's. Oh yeah won a championship last year.

Raptors and Cavs are getting the pieces in place.

Cavs lost Sexton, Rubio and Jarrett Allen for stretches of time. Otherwise they
    would be better positioned seeding-wise.

Raptors drafted Scottie Barnes to run that Draymond Green role and add
to the lengthy-mobile players they have:
    Siakim: 6'9"
    Scottie Barnes: 6'9"
    Precious Achiuwa: 6'8"
    Dalano Banton: 6'9"
    Khem Birch: 6'9"
    OG Anunoby: 6'7"
    Thad Young: 6'8"
    Isaac Bonga: 6'8"
    Yuta Watanabe: 6'9"
*This is the model if been preaching since 15/16 season

    vs

    Rockets
    C Wood: 6'10"
    _______________
    Sengun: 6'9" (not that mobile)
Garuba: 6'8" (not so mobile after injury leave)

It's a copy cat league and teams will follow suit and emulate the Bucks, Heat, Raptors,
Cavs, Dallas, Suns,, Jazz, Warriors. I can see the trend even if you can't.

Watch more games Dude....Raptors would be champs if they had Porter/Green instead of
    VanVleet/Flynn

Also the review of Smith is not accurate….he is much much better than the writer is giving credit for.

That was what 2019? The played primarily straight up, switch. In the finals they played box & 1 to stop Curry and the 3point line. Raptors change defense on the fly.

Already spoke about Miami's defense above.

-_- you're like 3/4 years ago on their DEEP drop coverage.

Bucks have literally changed there defensive scheme every year. They stopped the deep drop coverage.

In the finals last year they weren't "packing the paint" -_-. They started to run a full court press with drop coverage and selective switching.

They were not letting Booker just shoot 3's lol. Regardless CP3 is a beast the Sun's we're still amazing offensively they lost because Giannis put their team in foul trouble and second chance points.

Bucks dominated on offensive glass... Chet/Jabari/Paolo won't give us that so not sure why you're bringing up the Bucks.

The Bucks now blitz the hell out of screens sending 2/3 players with the front court dropping.

Raptors started the year with 2-3 zone and were a bottom 5 defensive team. But yea everyone is running zone. -_-

Sexton is irrelevant he has been out practically the whole season. Cavs primarily play straight up switch defense with some drop coverage from Allen. Throughout the year Allen has been increasingly improving on ability to also switch.

Umm what?? GSW and Tor do not play the same defense and they do not run zone.

Cool phrase... Anyway half of those teams don't utilize zone.

I laugh at anyone who brings up Jazz and their regular season only defense because that defense always seems to be trash in the post season.

Long story short all the good teams adjust defensive schemes based on talent and a strong defensive scheme can be created within a season not matter what individual talent a team has. Bucks lose Lopez, change up the scheme... Raptors roster change, change up the scheme etc.

Here is around phrase, don't fit a round peg in a square hole... Also maybe don't link old ESPN links. But that's just my opinion I'm just a fan.

You keep watching basketball on just the offensive end fella.

Go right ahead and bury your head in the sand.

You don't want to accept that zone has been effective for several years
and that teams are copying the success of Raptors, Bucks and now Heat (#1 seed)

I’m not sure that makes sense. Can only one person be drafted above him? If not is it one of two different players that could? If so both could and he could be drafted 3rd.

Im finding myself *way* less stressed this year than last about who the Rockets draft. Last year there was 2 #1 franchise altering players at the top of the draft and the Rockets got one.

This year there might be two but both have way more question marks than Cade or Jalen did. Rockets seriously can't lose where they currently are. Even at 5 they'd have a chance at Sharpe or Ivey.

If it does happen to be one of those two I'd pray that teams stay away from Keegan Murray and he falls into the early teens and you can trade up for him. A future core of KPJ/Green/Sharpe/Murray/Sengun sounds so so tantalizing.

This draft cycle looks poised to be just as toxic as the last. Drafniks who whiffed last year looking for redemption. Hostile posters who think they are the authority when it comes to talent recognition. Guys clinging to projections and ignoring the most evident players. Making MORE absolute statements???? JFC some guys dont learn their lesson. LOL.

Just another Monday on ClutchFans! o_O

I'm just praying that we stay in the top 4 and take the BPA that's left.

Who cares if he was elite at shot blocking in college?

Is he going to play C in the NBA, so those elite skills will translate?

Which is it? Is he going to be a rim protecting C in the NBA or a wing guy, you can't have it both ways, do you actually think he will be able to be the same rim protector going against elite athletes in the NBA?

This whole elite thing is a red herring anyway you don't have to be elite at anything if you are above average at several things.

I hoped last year for the 2nd because I knew if they got first they would take Cade. This year I hope they end up with Jabari wherever that may be. I doubt it happens but there is a chance!

I can totally see a path with Jabari. He's an insane talent. Hard to see the team making a mistake regardless of who gets picked and what the draftniks think. Stone has my confidence and I'll be cool whichever route they go.
