Can a brother get some DEFENSE please w this draft !???????? F all the one way offensive players. Ffs
Keegan Murray is a post up mismatch as he over powers smaller players on switches or he takes bigger players out on the perimeter.....but I like his quick release and ability to shoot from anywhere in the half court. So I'm good with the Rockets bringing in Keegan
Never said Mobley was a 3ball shooter. But Mobley at 3 or 4 would have been a huge improvement over Tate.
True. That Patrick Fertitta mentality is everyone being a point guard. So often Tate saw himself as a facilitator slash 6'4" point guard.... unfortunately that doesn't help with the outside shooting. Open lanes for others. Anthony Lamb is that same mold. A version of Royce White player that can pass, shoot, rebound. But tend not to be good at any one category....just kinda decent and kinda not. Tate and Kenyon are still raw. I'm hoping they shoot a million 3's this summer.
Tyrease Maxey is proof you can hit in the later first round dude is balling- Height: 6′ 2″ NBA draft: 2020 (Round: 1 / Pick: 21)
Dieng is more Caboclo than Giannis. 6'9 guy should average more than 3 rebounds. And not a fan of his soft rep on defense.
We know how to break a zone... @ApacheWarrior thinks the league is suddenly going to revert to playing it all of a sudden. Everyone is shooting an insane amount of defense... Basic zone defense isn't coming back. With the 3point boom around the league I still do not understand why you think teams will utilize more zone defense?? Miami uses it only against weak shooting teams not to mention the use their big athletes at the top switching everything there slower athletes on the wings covering 3 and bam covering everything 15ft out. Raptors change schemes on the fly... The Rockets team changed the league with the switch defense. That switch defense is incorporated with the Raptors as well. No team is playing a basic zone that gets wrecked.
Enter EJ Liddell, dude wrecked guys like Keegan Murray and Banchero when matched up defensively on them.
You make my point for me. The very best defensive teams are hybrid, incorporating zone concepts and pack the paint. Especially vs the poor 3ball shooting teams or vs teams with best players preferring mid range or post play. Banchero epitomizes this type of player - Bucks, Heat, Raptors, Jazz, Cavs, Celts, Lakers, Clips would shut down the paint.
