Atw is the Pinnacle of reactionary politics. He spent a decade here concentrating on Islamic terrorism coincidentally when the right wing was obsessed with it. This was during the era of "why isn't Obama saying the phrase 'islamic extremists' ".

Yes, there are people that detrans...a vast MINORITY of the trans community, some detransition. If you read their stories so many of them do so for vastly different reasons.

The majority do not. So you could easily...EASILY find stories of people that transitioned and are living their best life and don't regret it. For this guy, I wonder what's really going on. Feels like a main reason he detrans was because he felt shame in being trans and thought he was mentally ill...but if he's happy now, he's happy. the amount of detrans people in general is SO tiny...it is IIRC like less than 5% a community that is 1% of a population lol. We are probably talking about a group of people that you could list on this page.

But people always use detrans people as a way to bludgeon trans people are try to suggest that maybe it isn't real. @AroundTheWorld might not be doing that, maybe he just found the story interesting, I'll be charitable and give him that...but I hope he knows there are many more stories of trans people that loved their transition and are happier for it.

You keep on saying the pedophilia argument is a tangent not related to the law yet you keep on bringing up that line of argument. So again you ask for good faith why keep on arguing that point if it's an unrelated tangent?

Further what is wrong with more children identifying as LGBT? Something that you acknowledge this law will be negligible at best at.

Wrong in a moral sense is not the word to use in this discussion, but in a not correct sense, yes. We once believed that the LGBT population is around 5 to 10 percent, now we are rejecting those once "scientific" claims because we are witnessing 15 to 20 to even 40 percent of youth identifying as LGBT. There is something wrong, as in incorrect, going on with those identifications. An important amount of that increase is definitely inorganic. Laws like the one we are discussing here coupled with cultural acceptance would lead to a more accurate representation of the LGBT population.

 

Only one of those numbers can exist in reality at once. SO which one are you choosing to support your narrative? 40% I'm guessing?

 

I do not believe there is an actual reality to any of those numbers. Who knows what the reality is.
