How about 2024? The rockets that year will have the Nets pick and still someone before having to give any of the rookies this year an extension. That would give you an option to trade wall as well and take back a contract(s) that runs an extra year with picks or a good young player.

Hawks are loaded at PF with Gallinari and Collins ahead of Johnson.

Too much vet money invested at the 3 and 4 spot.

And Nate McMillan prefers proven vets - just not playing him, even when Gallo and JC are injured.

Nate would love EGo next to Trae and Bogdanovic.

I may get criticized for this, but what about:

Knicks get: Jae'Sean Tate, David Nwaba, #17 pick

Rockets get: Kemba Walker, #11 pick

Thibodeau likes his defensive players. Knicks may be able to still get a player like TyTy Washington at #17, though it's hard to say.

Hmm, who would you be targeting at #11 though?

I think the trade is more fair with one additional 2nd rounder to the Rockets.

Moving up 6 spots is nice, but it's hard to say if 11 will perform significantly better than 17.

Tari Eason, Jeremy Sochan, Ocbai Agbaji, Jalen Duren, Ousmane Dieng, Kendall Brown, Mark Williams, Dyson Daniels.

Should have a few options at 11.

If you think the free agent list in a year is bad and we won't otherwise use the cap space; I wouldn't mind:

    To Pacers
    John Wall
    Christian Wood
    #17 pick

    To Rockets
    Malcolm Brogdon
    Myles Turner
    Buddy Hield

The value for turner would be Wood, the pick, and salary cap relief...

PG Malcom Brogdon / Kevin Porter
SG Jalen Green / Josh Christopher / Buddy Hield
SF Eric Gordon / Jasean Tate
PF Jabari Smith? / Kevin Martin / Garuba
    C Myles Turner / Sengun

Gordon could still be flipped for a more natural 3...

At the moment, I like Dyson Daniels, Tari Eason and Jeremy Sochan. But my main incentive is to get ahead of OKC. I think they are Houston's main competition in any draft.

I'd prefer Cam Reddish and/or Jericho Sims vs Kemba or at least included in a deal. I'd even throw in Gary Mathews to make it happen.

I’d prefer Cam as well, but I don’t see the Knicks trading him and 11 for Tate and 17. Nwaba is just filler.

What’s wrong with it? We give up nothing and get 4 firsts. I’m in!

there is 0 chance this trade happens. knicks need young talent and their fans would kill them if they did this.

It’s a ridiculous trade idea unless all the other teams have Bill O’Brien as their GM

If we end up with the 5th pick, would you do this:

Gordon, Tate, Wood, 5th pick, 17th pick for Jalen Brown and Robert Williams.

Moving down 6 spots to pick up Jae'Sean Tate isn't outrageous, but I hear you.
