    I don't know who Tinman is but I do know he's been allowed to shame other posters for not contributing. For years. Constantly.

    Also, this is literally the exact point that South Park episode made. It's annoying.

    You should watch that South Park episode about this kind of thing...makes perfect sense to me.

    As for convenient excuses...it's about as convenient as telling someone you won't reply to them because they don't contribute even though you've replied to them hundreds of times before...

    Board members do not need to be shareholders and do not need to use the company products. Their only duty is to the shareholders. Musk knows this but he is on a mission to discredit them since he knows they are against his cheap lowball offer.

    In early stage startups. the board of directors is often composed of shareholder representatives. Later stage, they often bring in experienced outsiders who get financial compensation, often not at all in shares.
