This video is from 2019. Is it making the rounds again? But really, if you have some ant mounds, get Maxforce Complete.
That's for putting around the exterior of your house, right? I fight fire ants on the reg, Ortho Orthene is by far the best product I've found. I don't use it in the veggie garden, this works pretty well: https://orangeguard.com/orange-guard-fire-ant-control/#product-reviews
For exterior, yes. It works on other bugs, too, so I usually sprinkle some around entryways if I get a lot of invaders. Diotamaceous earth is another good one to sprinkle around the foundation. I also spray bifenthrin occasionally (avoiding shrubs and flowers to not affect bees [but **** wasps])
Diotamaceous earth is really bad stuff -- all it has done is created super ants impervious to knife fights.
I'll try that around the barndomenium doors, we get scorpions and crickets and stuff like that, thankfully have never had a problem anywhere with interior ants. I absolutely do not miss roaches. I see maybe 3 a year at my mom's house in Marble Falls.
Don’t know how effective but through recommendation, I use Demon WP around the outdoor perimeter. Seems to work against ants and other insects.
If you tiny, sugar ants in your house, put a small puddle to Terro liquid ant bait (get it at Lowes) in their path. Watch them all circle around it, drinking the delicious poison. In a day or two... no more ants.
Orthene is the best at controlling fire ants outside. I don't think it actually kills them, but it smells so bad even the ants hate it and move to the neighbors yard...
damn, some people are just dumb had his dogs out there too to witness the fckery 1st hand at least he didn’t put his face in the hole to see if anything was happening…I wouldn’t put it past somebody to do that
Terro for "sugar based" ants. Maxforce for "protein based" ants. Some ant species will be picky on the type depending on whether they're growing the existing nest by foraging or colonizing by destroying/eating other competitors.
