Which poster has made the argument that Harden owed Houston a championship? As far as I know, no one has. So you're rebutting a criticism that no one has made while ignoring real, legitimate criticisms.

That's the definition of a strawman argument.

You’re right. He didn’t owe us anything. It’s more so the manner in which he lost/came up short. Imagine Hakeem Olajuwon in 1994 sitting on the bench the entire 4th quarter (poor play not foul trouble) of an elimination game and getting bailed out by Chucky Brown, Pete Chilcutt and Chris Jent.

Imagine Hakeem in the 1995 playoffs losing. At home. By 40. In an elimination game. With no David Robinson and Avery Johnson.

Harden didn’t have the heart of a Champion or the type of game to lead a team to a Championship as the primary or secondary option. Now he’s older, slower and out of shape and the delusional fanbois are still holding on to hope that he’s going to deliver. No! Disagree and make all the excuses you want but this will be year 13 where that statement holds true. Again, nothing wrong with that. Just don’t put him on the same level or say he’s better than guys like KD, Steph, Giannis etc like members of the fan club have so aptly claimed over the years.

You guys are whining like he owed Houston a chip. Harden laced them up and couldn't get it done. The team was never good enough. There was another dynasty going on at the time that was just better. Hey it's happened before in the NBA. He's gone and now Father time is tapping him on the shoulder. Yet there are groups of posters still crying about Harden. It's over and he lost. He made the Rockets relevant and The team made 2 West Finals. It hadn't done squat in the 15 years before the guy got here. That's it. Posters are whining like he owed Houston a chip.

You should've just kept quiet and avoided the topic. People would've forgotten, but you instead decided to double down.

Do you seriously not realize how cringe-worthy this is? It's bad enough enough that I'm starting to feel a little embarrassed on your behalf....

Just drop it. I promise you that people will forget.

Do you mean "valid criticisms"? It's not that I'm good at it....it's just that there's a lot to criticize about Harden. Even blind squirrels find nuts, right?

Btw, I'm referring to legitimate criticisms, not fictitious ones, ok?

If you consider valid criticisms to be "whining", what do you think is a proper description for creating imaginary criticisms and then arguing against them?

By all means, carry on. It's obviously therapeutic for you (for some crazy reason).

Keep whining. Harden owed the Rockets a ring and didn't deliver. Okay. I get it.

    “James Harden’s Brooklyn Nets”
    James Harden’s Philadelphia 76ers”

As if those titles weren’t offensive to KD/Kyrie and Embiid. His fan club was so sure he was going to win a ring last year and this year and his time with us. I’m just here to tell you guys NO. Been right 6 years and counting. You guys never listen though and come up with excuses to protect him.

Harden is worth hundreds of millions my friend. He doesn't need anyone's verbal "protection". He had good run here, but he lost at the end of the day.. It's over. He's declining. I don't care if he ever gets a ring, it's not going to bring one to H'Town. He doesn't owe us anything. Stone & Tillman got to build a champion

    It's time for the younginz.

And this is where I don't get all the Hate
I don't think we can find a better 8 yr span of winning percentage.
    '90-98 Maybe

    2012 45-37
    2013 54-28
    2014 56-26
    2015 41-41
    2016 55-27
    2017 65-17
    2018 53-29
    2019 44-28

    1990 52-30
    1991 42-40
    1992 55-27
    1993 58-24
    1994 47-35
    1995 48-34
    1996 48-34
    1997 41-41

I think we would be hard pressed to find better 8 yr runs than those two.
AND WE HATE THE GUY FOR THE MOST RECENT ONE!!
DETEST HIM!! While We Love the TWacks and The PADGEs of Honor
Who never sniffed the second round

I simply ask . . . . What Superstar in the NBA could have done MORE WITH THOSE TEAMS?
    1. LeBron
    2. KD (Maybe)
    3. ????
