Clay Travis is the perfect example of the drift based victim deliriousness around the right. The man complains to millions every day about censorship and cancel culture on the very platform that you are discussing. LMAO

By the way, here is what a social media website looks like when there are little to no rules...

    https://gab.com/BlackCrimesMatter
Click the link at your own risk but the summary of it is pretty clear.

Oh...and this is a verified account over there lol.

This is the whole problem with this argument. There are multiple other social media platforms - Gab, Parler, Truth Social, etc. The free market is working. And it's largely speaking about what people prefer. They want twitter's reach but Gab's rules - but they fail to realize that people will just leave twitter in that scenario.

The crazy right problem is not a lack of free speech; it's their frustration with the fact that no one cares to listen to them.

The bold is it. Many on the crazy right want a platform to freely spread their beliefs but what they don't get is most people don't want to listen to it. Accounts like the one I posted are automatic turn-offs. If that account got on Elon's new 'Free Speech' platform here is what will happen.

    • People will see it, report it, and expect it to be taken down for obvious reasons...
    • It doesn't because "Free Speech".
    • People leave twitter out of disgust for them letting that persist.

Repeat this for a number of issues and watch people actually leave. As @Sweet Lou 4 2 mentioned, many people use twitter for innocent things. Nothing political. Cat videos, food blogging, shitposting when Playoff P chokes, etc etc

Most people aren't there to hear about how subhuman blacks are, how Jews secretly run the world, and how the gays are coming after your kids...yet pull up Gab and the main page is all right wing news stories. Not only does this stuff exist there but it is broadcasted, elevated, and promoted. It exists for fringe right wingers and is the perfect example of how the US government allows free speech. It allows Gab to exist, to operate, as long as laws are not broken...but Gab isn't forced on everyone just like people should not be forced to listen to some rando whine about how Trans people are turning their kids gay.

    You're not liberal enough.

Elon should be sitting in prison for the rest of his life.

Sorry, I don't know who he is. I just chuckled at the tweet. Not endorsing him since I have never heard of him.

communists must control speech to make their system work. There is zero chance they were just going to sit back and let free speech exist on a mainstream forum. They will come down on Elon much harder than this.

It would be funny if he's "forced" to sell now he's inflated Twitter's stock prices. Dude knows how to play people and make money.

No joke. Here they go again, the usual suspects weaponizing the DOJ/FBI against their political adversaries.

And they wonder why they are no longer trusted.
