The Baylor fans in my life have told me to pass on him.

Very possibly, Agbaji is going to be a nice rotation player in the league which at 16 or 17 is good value. If he’s BPA you have to draft him regardless if he plays the same spot as Green.

Tari Eason is exactly what we need at SF, why isnt he getting more hype? (Bkn pick + asset)

Advanced numbers are off the charts. Elite defense. Advanced handle = potential for shot creation. Good ft% = potential to improve 3%.

    Id guess the concerns are:
    * is his outside shot sustainable
    * can he really play SF, or is he a somewhat undersized, meh rebounding PF

I really didn't see enough of him to judge. Murray has the much better stats, aside from advanced defensive stats. Not sure about handle.

If teams sleep on him it is to our benefit. I think Eason a great prospect and could sneak into the lotto depending on workouts. He's a top tier athlete with great skills and LSU fans loved him.

As for why Eason's not getting more hype he turns 21 next month. It's hard to directly compare him to prospects that will still be 18 years old during the draft like Griffin or Duren. The only top prospect older than him is Keegan Murray, who was more productive and a better shooter than Eason this season. Personally, I like Eason as an NBA prospect more than Murray but I'll probably regret saying that someday.

Just watched some Kessler highlights and saw Smith miss a shot. I'm not sure he's even in my Top 20 now.

Ft% is a good indicator for outside shot, though that is definitely his swing skill.

When you watch him handling the ball I don't know why anyone would think he's a pf in the NBA, his handle is closer to a guard's than a forward.

I like Murray but hes old.

    He can shoot for sure.

And his defense is above average.

You could be right about Banchero and Ivey being the most likely potential to be franchise players.

But both struggle defensively, which could just be mental.

But I still favor either Chet or Jabari as potential elite 2 way players and foundational pieces on championship team, franchise players or not.

If CF loves and covet mamba mentality then Chet/Jabari have that, in spades.

I prefer Tari over Keegan or Sochan or Dyson.

But would not be sad with either of those options with Nets pick.

IMHO, the Rockets don't need another franchise type player. They need a top tier role player(s) in this draft. That is the main reason I chose Chet over Jabari.
I wouldn't be too upset with #5 either. There are many top tier role players we could go with. I'm really starting to like Sochan. He could turn out to be this drafts Scottie Barnes.

Jabari is a role player as well, Chet plays his role better but he also is the only one outside of Ivey with superstar potential. He just also happens to be able to play his role when needed very well too

You are confusing creation skillset with franchise player. You dont need creation skillset to be a franchise player, you just need to be one of the top 30 players to be a franchise player. Players like KG, Bill Russell and David Robinson werent exactly the best iso scorers and creators but they were still franchise players.

Franchise player just means quality of the player rather than the skillset. You need all sorts of skillset to win a game you need shooting, defending, rebounding, blocking etc one skillset isnt necessarily betterthsn the other it depends on how good you are at what you do rather than what can you do.
