Durant's easy championship has already been dismissed by a lot of people. Have you forgotten how much flak he got when he decided to sign with GS? That's why he had to start over in Brooklyn rather than continue with the Warriors (not knowing that GS would be decimated by injuries right after he left).

Whatever happened in the past, Durant is much more competitive than Harden this year when he's healthy. Harden was not the only one who had to deal with Kyrie's flakiness.

I think Harden expected some appreciation because when KD was not healthy . .. he was holding it down
while Kyrie was on vacation . . . . Harden maybe even played through some things . . .. and what does he get for all that
    "You are a fat f*ck!" - KD
    "Man F*ck you! I'm out!" - Harden

At the bare minimum, a player of Harden's contract/caliber should've been ready for the start of the season. Durant's annoyance with him was justified.

Irving is a difference scenario and not really comparable. Irving took the course of action that he thought was best for his own health and safety. While we may disagree with his opinion, that's a much easier pill to swallow than what Harden did.

Didn't he just take 2 weeks off in the middle of the previous season. . . . for no real reason?

How is that relevant to Harden starting this season out of shape?

It's about Harden interpretation of KD b****ing at him .. . meanwhile giving Kyrie every pass possible.
Treat you two best employees that drastically different . .. one will get tire of the ****.

Every pass possible? It presumably had something to do with mental health, and Irving returned and performed at a high level.

There's really no excuse for a player of Harden's contract/caliber to show up out of shape.

So . . . Harden should have said. . he has a mental health issue and taking a month off to get in shape?
    That is more acceptable???

If it's true, then yes, it is more acceptable.

Durant joined team USA shortly after being eliminated. Harden on the other hand was on the first flight out of the country to go on tour with Da Lil baby in Paris.

Geez Harden has it ever dawned on you to maybe stay home and properly rehab to get right? You know like get on a normal sleeping pattern and get some rest? How about hiring a dietician and a private chef to get your weight under control? How about working with trainers on strength and conditioning? Instead he goes to party, probably had many sleepless nights, indulged too much in drinking and god knows what else, ate like crap, came back looking worse than ever and his delusional fan club still blames this hamstring to this day and continues to play the victim card when it comes to defending Harden.

Are folks knocking Harden for being out of shape when a hammy kept him from getting in shape?

It must be tough to have Harden's out of shape body continually living rent free inside your head. Like at this point I don't even think you hate him but rather the opposite--you actually love the guy.

Nice response. You’re a smart guy (or so I thought) and you’ve been around long enough to know incessant partying and late nights isn’t exactly conducive to the life of a pro athlete.

In the regular season, he suffered a grade 2 hamstring strain and missed around a month. In the playoffs, he re-aggravated his hamstring, presumably to a lesser severity than a grade 2.

After the playoffs ended, the new season started 4 months later.

So how can the hamstring be a legitimate excuse?
