If the Rockets pick at 4, do they really pass on Ivey because of KPJ? Seems like a decision that would haunt you for the rest of your life.

KPJ would be even under more scrutiny at that point.

Jabari needs to be the pick. He is going to be the Black Dirk shooting wise. Looks just like him in form on that last clip. Id be fine with Chet, Ivey, or Paolo because they'll all be all stars one day, but Jabari can make an instant impact with his shooting

If people here were offered either:

    1) Jabari Smith or Chet Holmgren

    2) Keegan Murray AND Jalen Duren

    Which would you pick?

    #1

    Easily.

Especially because Jabari/Chet also come with another top 16 player.

So #2 is not that great of an enticement.

Always take the high end talent in the NBA, easy choice.

Duren doesn't move the meter for me.

#1 without a question. I'm not even dripping with lust for Jabari but I have to admit, you can't pass on a guy like him if he's there.

#1 for sure. Take the high ceiling player who has a chance of being a superstar. Plus what Chet did to Duran soured me on him anyways

So what happens if we pick at 4 and Ivey is there? We really going to pass on him because of KPJ?

Agree with always taking the high upside guy.

I like him, he looks like B Diaw.

Looks a bit limited athletically, so I don't know how that translates, need to do a bit of research.

I don't know about wise, that's bottom of lottery and those guys are usually a crapshoot.

We know KPJ has NBA skills those guys bust a lot.

Some combos I like that we could realistically come out of the Draft with

    1. Chet Holmgren + Tari Eason (or Jeremy Sochan if Eason's gone)
    - Eason plays bigger than his 6'8 220 size, and Chet/Sengun/Eason would be a very interesting modern trio inside moving forward. Chet + Eason would up our young core's defense a ton.

    2. Paolo Banchero + Mark Williams
    - Partly because they already have high-low chemistry, and Banchero regularly found Williams for lobs. The key would be whether Sengun can play at all with Williams, but Williams' rim-protection/finishing would be valuable regardless. Jabari + Williams would be interesting as well, but I want some more shot-creation out of this Draft.

    3. Jabari Smith + Dyson Daniels
    - I think Daniels might rise into the Top-10, but he's a 6'7" PG and would be interesting next to Jalen. Smith would have less pressure to create, and could focus on stretching the floor.

True, I’m calculating the factor of KPJ having issues, on pure talent alone you are probably right.

    LOL.

He never took more than 2 dribbles at a time, and that's his high lite video.

He will be an interesting prospect.
